Alecos Hotel Apartments

The Alecos is a small apartment complex situated less than 10 minutes from the seafront and nearest large supermarket. Across the road there's a small convenience store and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The harbour bus station is a short walk away. It has its own bar with nightly entertainment and can provide breakfast if required and meals and drinks throughout the day. There's limited parking and a small pool with sun loungers which seems to get the sun for most of the day. There's no lift but the apartments are all situated on the first and second floors of four blocks. The staff are friendly and helpful and you may leave your luggage with them on your departure day if you have a later flight. There's a charge of 3 euros per day for a safe key (safe in your apartment) and supposedly a fee for air conditioning but we weren't charged for that. Our studio was large with two single beds pushed together, a balcony and a small bathroom. The studio was equipped for self catering - kettle, toaster, fridge and small electric counter top cooker. There were enough pans, crockery and cutlery etc. Bath towels and bedding are provided, you need to bring your own pool towels, kitchen towels, tea towels, washing up liquid etc. There was also a TV. The room was cleaned frequently and the bins emptied every day. On the balcony there was a clothes airer. We were in Block D and were not disturbed by noise at all despite being very close to Bar Street but we visited in early May so the season wasn't in full swing. The only negative thing about these studios is the beds. They're so hard it's like sleeping on bricks and it really affected my sleep quality and my back. For that reason alone we won't be staying here again. It's such a shame as in every other way it's perfect but some people may not find that a problem. Apart from that its price, location and friendly staff make it a great place to spend a couple of weeks in the sun. When they get some new mattresses we'll return :)

LOVE! The staff here are so lovely and kind the pool is beautiful and so are the views. Granted it is next to some nightclubs and bars so can be loud at night but nothing we couldn't sleep through. The entertainment at the bar is top notch especially on monday and wednesday nights 🫶🏼. Good price for rooms and class food at the bar too - all in all a lovely city and hotel missing it already :(

Great place to stay. Nice pool and plenty of loungers. Staff were very helpful. George and Emmanuel to name just a couple. Was a little noisy of a night due to nightclub but a few beers helped me sleep. Will be returning in the future. Weather was fantastic and drinks and food very reasonably priced. It was easy to visit other places, beaches etc all over the island with an excellent bus service. Jayanta Indian restaurant catered for all 23 of our party and food was exquisite with a free complimentary brandy to finish.

If you want a noisy visit to these apartments you are in the right place, very near to all the night life and noise until up to 3.00am. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, but the noise put a damper on our visit. The food in the restaurant is excellent, just a shame there are so many TV's playing football all the time.

This is a great Hotel/Apartments to stay in. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Especially Anna on reception, she is such a nice person and a great asset to this Hotel. There is a bar and restaurant which serves really nice food and good entertainment. The location is great as its only less than five minutes walk to the seafront, and there are lots of bars and restaurants beside you. Will be returning soon to Alecos Hotel. Arthur Northern Ireland

This is our 2nd time to this hotel. It’s perfect location & within walking distance. They have done up the pool area and it looks loads better.

The hotel is nice and clean The beds are very hard and uncomfortable The TV doesn’t have any English channels The Wi-Fi doesn’t work in the rooms The noise is very loud from nearby disco. Apart from the above it is a nice hotel The hotel is only a ten minute walk from the harbour which will be great when they finish it lots of dangerous pavement work going on and certainly not one for wheelchairs

I booked with Jet2 for a family break with my wife and daughter. Firstly this is the cheapest hotel available in Cyprus on Jet2 and is 3 star so we didn't expect luxury. We were shown to room A101 in the notorious block A (read other reviews) this is the block that contains the 1 bed apartments, the other blocks are studios and private. The room stunk of cigarette smoke and the bathroom was dirty however we opened the windows and requested the bathroom to be cleaned and headed out to dinner. We arrived back around 10, went to bed and discovered the sheets covered in cigarette burns. At 11:30 booming bass from the adjacent nightclub started and didnt stop until 5:30 - this is not bar noise, the adjacent Club Rainbow nightclub's basement extends under block A and the bass physically shakes the room making sleep impossible, my daughter thought it was someone drilling the walls! I cannot emphasise enough how loud and unbearable this was. The next morning after no sleep i requested a room change but was told that no other 1 bed apartments were available and we could only move to a studio which was not appropriate for our family. I contacted Jet2 and requested a hotel change and was told this would take 24 hours so we needed to stay in Alecos one more night, this was impossible so i booked one night out of my own pocket in the hotel we were due to move to the following day, we moved to Paphos Gardens and had a wonderful next 6 days in Paphos. I have since been fully refunded by Jet2 for the accommodation and i have been told that the hotel is under urgent review due to mine and other complaints received. If you are booking a studio in Block C then im sure this accommodation is fine as its in a central location and cheap and cheerful. Unless you intend to party until the early hours then a stay in Block A apartments will be hell. Please read the other 1 star reviews that back this up. I do feel for the hotel as the nightclub is not their fault and they were very apologetic however the bathroom was disgusting and all towels and sheets desperately need replacing.
