There are no disadvantages except that it is a little far away from the Archaeological Park. The room is large and the hotel also has a swimming pool. It is very cost-effective.

General- It was basic. You have to pay extra, per day for air conditioning! The pool is open 9-6pm and it’s always busy. It would have been better if it was open later, when it’s cooler. No warm welcome, just asked questions and given keys. Felt like an inconvenience! Rented a car (€265 for 5 days) for a very small car. Without that, there wouldn’t have been many places to go. There’s a lidl, which was about a 10 min walk away and some restaurants and bars about 25 mins away. Rooms- again, basic. No microwave, just an old oven and hob. No welcome pack. Just given a tea towel and washing up liquid and sponge. We were on the ground floor and the ants were everywhere. Staff gave us some power but didn’t help much. Bring insect repellent- as we were bitten every night! Cleaners knock on every morning. However, do not speak any English so difficult to request anything. Sometimes they take towels etc but don’t replace them. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. It’s two singles pushed together, not a double. Pull out sofas in the living room are just as uncomfortable. However, meant we got up early as we didn’t want to stay in bed! We had a small patio but it’s not child friendly as there’s a drop at the end. Staff - there were two members of staff that were okay but the others were quite rude, abrupt and unhelpful. Food - all food is prepared behind the bar, so we never eaten there. Prices were okay but expensive for what it was. €3.30 for Nescafé and €4.50 for filter coffee. Coke €3. Juice €2.50. Facilities - small pool and small child pool. Older children were in the small l pool at times which meant my daughter didn’t want to go in. Pool table at the back of the bar. Nothing for small children. Overall - Will not be going back. Did not find the staff anywhere very friendly. Food was average and most things were expensive. We were spending approximately £150 a day and that was without excursions.

Hotel is dirty, pool is filthy due to the building work. Also very noisy. Sunbeds and around the pool never gets cleaned. Inside the apartments are spacious but again cleaning is poor. The prices at the bar are expensive for food and drinks. I wouldn't recommend and we definitely wouldn't Come back. Alot of people have left the hotel and paid more to move hotels.

I will attempt to be fair in writing this review. In essence, as a customer, it felt that myself and daughter had to 'fit' into the hotels regime. We were aware that construction was taking place near the hotel but not 15 to 20 metres from the pool area. I large, high building which was noisy every day. I find that Jet2 misrepresented the hotel and should have enabled us to make an informed decision by showing a picture of the construction. Our experience was shared by a large number of people and correlated with existing reviews. Here is our reason for giving a low score to Hilltop Gardens. 1. The original apartment was very small and dirty on our arrival. Hairs in the bath, sink and toilet. There were a number of areas needing repair and paint (apparently, the hotel had been refurbished). 2. We booked bed and breakfast, expecting at least a buffet style breakfast. In reality, we were shocked at the experience. The choice included: Fried egg on toast, scrambled egg on toast, beans on toast or a cheese and ham toastie. The food was cooked at the pool bar which was not the most hygienic place, although I tried the scrambled egg on toast and the cook, Conny made it well, despite being in a frying pan, which I am aware, people do prefer. In reality Conny was the most pleasant member of staff, always happy and providing good local information. However, this cannot be said by all staff. We were asked to sit at a table around the pool and when breakfast was ready, we were shouted to collect it. I felt there was also an expectation that we return the crockery etc to the bar. I asked for fresh orange and was informed it was not on the breakfast menu and instead, I was offered diluted orange. My daughter plays football to a good standard and eats very healthily. I asked for yoghurt and fruit to be provided for breakfast and again, this was refused. 3. The rooms were 'cleaned' every other day with the provision of towels, one medium ad one hand towel. As we showered daily, we found this was not sufficient. I went to reception where the staff was covering. I asked for one extra towel for my daughter and felt I was rudely told a straight NO. I pressed on this and informed the staff, it was becoming stressful having to make continual complaints. The staff member asked the senior maid who shouted in Greek which I was told, I could not have a towel. This was shocking and very poor customer service. Finally, the staff member called the manager and I was given one towel. Having come on holiday to leave the stress behind, I really don't know what to say. 4. I continued to complain about the poor standard of cleaning and frequency of towel changes. Previous hotels do changed every other day but we have always been provided with enough to last us two days. 5. Our bedding was not changed for the full two weeks were were at the hotel. This again was other people's experience. 6. The hotel was quite isolated, well off the main road where shops and bars were loca

We were not impressed at all with the hotel, we had our 10 month old with us so a cot was provided, the cot however was absolutely filthy and broken, the mattress was so dirty that they had put a really thick fluffy blanket over it. We were told when we got there you had to pay 6 euro 50 a night for air conditioning which we did for the air conditioning to not work. We were put on the first floor with a baby and pushchair ect but there is no lift in the hotel. The area is out the way to the shops ect it was a 30 minute walk to the restaurants. The experience was that bad we checked in 11pm Sunday evening and checked out 8am Monday morning and paid for a new hotel.

Very rudy... very dirty. (I have been here a week and had the cleaner come in once) On the day of our check in before we could un pack we had to clean the room as you couldn't walk on the floor over the dirt.... also bed sheets have blood on them.. On our last day they tried charging me 45 euros for air conditioning (4 days) Even though I had all my receipts to prove I had already paid... They have one person working the bar. Reception, shop and check in.. So if you want a snack or a drink be prepared to wait a longggggggggg time... I would NOT recommend this place to anyone... Cyprus has been beautiful, but this hotel/apartment is a very very big let down.... And more than anything the staff are incredibly RUDE. I give this not even 1 star rating.

We were checked into room 203 late Sunday night by a really friendly welcoming man named john and from that wonderful welcoming things only got better . The location is perfect . .apartment is spotless and cleaned regulary Housekeeping is the best I've seen . Pool area is exactly as the pictures show . We never go all-inclusive but this time I'm sorry I didn't cause the food is amazing . . The staff in yhe bar are so friendly and helpful .Which brings me to the woman who made our holiday ... her name is Connie and works is the bar and cooks amazing food . She has the biggest smile for everyone and such a friendly atmosphere here because she knows everyone by name . She truly made our holiday . We are due to check out tomorrow but felt I had to let people know I would 100 percent recommend here .

Fantastic self catering apartment. Great location 20 mins walk to centre ( or 5 on a bus) . Apartment was clean & bright with a bath and sea view! Pool area was very nice ( although the new building that’s gone up ruins the view from there) Staff were helpful & friendly.
