Bryce Gateway Inn Cabins

Though it would be nice to not stay within city limits for the view. But no view here unless you like looking at the back of a closed restaurant across a gravel parking lot and then up the hill to see a large liquid storage tank in need to a new paint job. Check in was done next door at the Rodeway Motel with its visually poor cluttered small sleazy lobby. Nothing is nearby this property. Either head up to Panguitch or Bryce Canyon Village for any meals. Room was clean and comfortable, but very dated and in need of modernizing. Front porch was not sitable on the 2x12 plank fastened to the wall nor big enough for any chairs. Views like previously mentioned were pitiful and non-existent. This should only be a last resort stay option if nothing else nearby can be found. Same goes for the Rodeway Inn Motel here. Go to nearby Panguitch or Bryce Canyon Village.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was a little tricky to get the room air/heat to work. There was not a coffee maker in the room but we were told at check-in that there would be coffee in the lobby. There wasn't. We asked about it the second night and were told he had an errand to run but it would be available the next day around 7:30 or 7:45. Again, it wasn't. If they would put a small coffee maker in each room, problem would be solved.

As a Diamond Level Hilton member I have stayed some of the finest properties in the world, particularly Europe and the Middle East. And with a million Hilton points on account, I could stay free at and Hilton property if I wanted too. Instead, when in the area we enjoy the Lamplighter Lodge. While perhaps not as luxurious as a Hilton, this property blends a clean and homey boutique motif with a touch of 1940s ”Motor Hotel” nostalgia. their are none that are any more ”FUN”! The management has always been helpful, even accommodating our 2:AM arrival on this most recent visit. Some of these older properties can be scary...but not this one. Its a jewel. One can easily see the effort and money that went into refreshing this classic property to modern convenience and cleanliness. We are looking forward to our next stay!
Rodeway Inn Bryce Canyon

Suddenly there was a hotel in the wilderness. Because the snow covered Bryce, there were few guests in the whole hotel. I thought about an old Indian couple guarding a hotel. The snow was blocked outside, the wind was cold, and the mobile phone was not yet available. Signal, a little wild shop meaning.

A simple Western breakfast, although not many varieties, tastes good. The room was very clean, mainly because the bed was really comfortable. High cost performance, it is recommended.
