Place has relaxing vibes, locatedfar from Alona beach. Only 5-7 minutes walk to Alona beach
No restaurant in the hotel but many food store outside
Fast internet but has no dedicated work space though you can use the bar and outside table to work.

Just a little out of town and doesn’t take long to walk to their/ the beach. room is spacious and contains a refrigerator. A bit off the main road so is quiet at night and morning.

Hotel Renate, it's like a holiday with friends. Thank you Helmi & team for the great stay! The hotel is located in a quiet side street, with a pleasant neighbourhood. The location ensures an undisturbed night's rest, which is not a given in the Philippines 😉, and yet is only about 7-8 minutes walk from Alona Beach with its restaurants and nightlife. The rooms are pleasantly large and very clean. What I particularly appreciate when travelling in Asia....a comfortable mattress, hot water and strong water pressure in the shower. The accommodation meets all these criteria and makes the stay comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You get many valuable tips about island life and good restaurants from the boss. Whether booking excursions or renting a scooter, everything was very easy with the support of the owner and his nice staff. The hotel is perhaps one of the insider tips here on Alona Beach, and definitely my first choice for my next stay in Panglao. Absolutely top for price and performance.

Pros: beautiful grounds, polite staff, large cool balcony (we lived on the 2nd floor), there is a wardrobe and a safe, water and coffee are free. good location!
Cons: in the shower either cold or boiling water, water was leaking from the air conditioner, in the bathroom either from the sink or from the ceiling it was leaking all the time, no blankets or even sheets, instead some thin bedspread, I'm not sure they wash it. There is only one towel per person! No, not for the feet, not for the face! In the bathroom there is only shampoo and shower gel, no hand soap.
Overall impression is still good! And overall I recommend this hotel.

Excellent value for money. Clean towels, hot water, drinking water, kettle and mini fridge. The room also had air conditioning and TV. The area is well-groomed and green. There is a parking space for 1-2 cars (photo). We lived on the first floor, maybe because of this it was constantly humid (damp). Also, from the recommendations, we advise you to slightly improve the lighting in the room (one lamp flickers, and the main light is not enough)
