Mount View continues to offer visitors a serene stay in a colonial bungalow with a splendid view and all the charm of years gone by. We have been visiting Mount View over the years, and it continues to be a family friendly bed-n-breakfast combining the amenities of a hotel room with the warmth of a homestay. The location is walking distance from all of Panchgani's sites and the main market, while being enveloped in silence amidst natural settings. The moment you enter the gates of the property, you are transported away from the hustle-bustle of modern life and into a serene and classy cocoon. The staff are friendly, eager to please and trained to Parsi standards of hospitality. The food is excellent- rich Parsi cuisine made home-style. Very highly recommended for families and those seeking quiet comfort. Not recommended for those who prefer luxury stays with all the associated facilities, modern design or those who need a huge and diverse food menu.

A beautiful, old-school property that’s extremely well maintained. It’s a quaint little place located right as you enter Panchgani, offering easy access and a peaceful ambiance. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home, while the staff is courteous, proactive, and quick to respond to requests. The food is simple, home-style cooking — delicious and comforting. The best part is the generous spread for both breakfast and dinner, served right on your private dining table just outside your room. We stayed in the Family Room, which was spacious, clean, and perfect for a comfortable stay. The property is also pet-friendly, which was a big plus for us. Overall, a delightful stay with warm hospitality, great food, and a lovely old-world charm. Highly recommended for families and pet owners looking for a peaceful getaway in Panchgani.

Mount View is not a hotel in the traditional sense. It is an old Parsi home which has been redesigned into multiple comfortable rooms, with attached spacious, clean and hygienic washrooms. The property itself is located a km before the main Panchgani market area, and allows you a quiet escape. Mount View is nestled in a green estate overlooking a valley with the Dhom Dham lake adding a jewel to the scenery. Here, one wakes up to greenery and the birdsongs, with plenty of variety of feathered friends for avian enthusiasts. The staff, led by Parmar, Alok and Rama, are extremely helpful, hospitable and welcoming. Despite me being a solo traveller, they never missed a beat to help me and tend to my requests. Finally, and not the least, the food. Mount View offered me complimentary breakfast, ***** with the option of dinner and lunch for an extra charge. I took only dinner. The food was authentic and wholesome Parsi food, with delicious chicken salli, cutlets, lentils and chapatis, pastas, breads and desserts. Breakfast also gave me eggs and kheema and some delicious homemade jam made from fruits sourced from local orchards. The spread was totally worth the money, and added an extra feather Mount View’s hat. Definitely recommend.

This heritage property is right on the Panchgani Mahabaleshwar road and yet somehow manages to have its own private forest. The surrounding is so calm and quiet that it cured our weary souls just by waking up to the sound of birds and raindrops. The rooms are clean and surprisingly well maintained for a heritage property. There are multiple family rooms for all size groups. Now on to the MSP of this place: The Food. If the property and surrounding calms your mind then the home cooked Parsi food excites your taste buds in ways you have never imagined. It is worth visiting this place if only for the food. The lavish meals were the highlights of our visit. To round it all off the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Be it the on demand snacks for our kids or our off hour tea/coffee requests. The staff served us with a smile at all hours. We will be back with a bigger appetite and a higher expectation very soon.

The hotel's location is secluded and will provide you peace from hustle and bustle of city life. However rooms are stuffy (no windows), linen was old and breakfast was average. Meals were also over priced at INR 700 per person.
