We encountered unacceptable behavior from the owner. Although the check-in time was 11 am, we arrived early and requested a room at 8:30 am to freshen up. They provided the room, but later, the owner claimed it was against their policy, stating we were occupying the room from 6:30 am which was completely false. As I didn't snatch the keys or barge into the room; I made a request, and they accommodated it. If they had a policy against early check-in, they could have simply said no or offered to charge an extra fee. However, insulting guests after receiving full payment is completely unacceptable.
I didn't argue, as we had already paid in full and my child was present. Moreover, I booked a deluxe room at Panjim Inn with a city view (256 sqft), but was given a room at Panjim Pousada on the ground floor with no view. The room had broken windows.
The owners are dishonest, and I'm also disappointed with MakeMyTrip. Although the rooms were clean, and the staff were polite and courteous, the owner's behavior was appalling. They should respect guests, who spend their hard-earned money on trips, rather than insulting and cheating them.
