Mateus Boutique Hotel

Mateus Boutique Hotel was a real gem in all respects in the heart of Panaji in the famous Fontainhas area. Right from calling them direct and talking to the lady in charge of reservations and overall supervision of the place Mrs. Cleta Fernandes to the other three members onsite, the warmth, care and hospitality was impeccable going over and beyond the call of the hospitality industry. The place has been beautifully refurbished retaining the old world charm and giving it a classic and quiet guest house feel with the well annointed nine rooms as opposed to a modern multi room and busy hotel. The place has a quiet dignity and feel to it. Mrs. Fernandes, was an epitome of genuine hospitality. When she heard that I felt that one of the lights above the bathroom mirror was dim she followed up and had it changed. Mr. Ashpak, the Manager onsite was wonderful in his quite and helpful manner and very respectful and friendly. Surya, the housekeeping staff member was very good in his friendly manner. Krishna, the breakfast chef/housekeeping member was good and friendly too. The entire team made Mateus feel genuinely a home away from home. They all combinedly treated you like a close relative come home to them. Need I say more!

The house is so good! Service was excellent, with smooth check in and check out. Extremely aesthetic and comfortable building: spacious and airy. All essentials were taken care of. Common spaces are beautiful. Staff is friendly, courteous and nice!

Great place nice staff beautiful room very clean bathroom room smelled nice overall really nice experience room also has small refrigerator which was perfect to store food and drinks they also has tv in the room for chilling enjoyed my stay with them Cheers

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were amazing! Very kind, helpful, and well mannered. It’s clear they genuinely care about making guests feel comfortable, and that made a big difference! The hotel itself has a nice vintage vibe, which adds a bit of charm to the whole experience. It feels warm and welcoming, not overly fancy but just right if you like a bit of character in the places you stay! Another big plus is the location. It’s within walking distance of most places, which is a huge help since traveling around Goa can get pretty expensive. Being able to explore nearby spots without constantly spending on transport made the trip even better!

Perfect location. Great room, clean and spacious. Very friendly and helpfull staff! You get alot for your money here, so I would definately reccomend to stay here. A little bit noise if you have a room close to the reception, but its not too bad.
