La Costa Resort is one of the few family hotels in the Costa Brava. It has a large pool where my kids enjoyed playing many hours every day, however, the pool area needs a lot of work. There are many loose stones which causes many cuts and scrapes on my kids feet, knees and toes. I have written some pros and cons Pros: - Stayed in Junior Suite with Pool view. Good size, basic and clean room. The bathrooms can use an upgrade. They are very dated but functioned well. - Friendly cleaning staff and most reception staff - beautiful nature and grounds - Golf facilities were excellent, however not enough shaded bays on the driving range and only of them had the elevated golf mat with tee - ping pong table, tennis and paddle facilities - Cons: AC was not working well. I had to had an engineer come twice, however, the hotel staff were prompt to respond. Having to pay for sun beds at the beach despite staying at the hotel no daily water bottles in the room no kettle or coffee machine in the room expensive food at the hotel restaurants bikes were too expensive to rent and minimum rental is 4 hours, please offer shorter rental.

"I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. I am baffled by how they managed to secure a 4-star rating. The rooms seem untouched since the 90s, the cleaning service is subpar, and the staff's behavior is highly questionable. The food quality and service are disappointing for a supposed 4-star establishment. If I ever return to Costa Brava, it will only be for a brief visit, as this hotel lacks the charm and hospitality that would make me want to stay longer. In my opinion, this hotel deserves no more than 2 stars, and that's being generous!"

We have been many times to La Costa, but this visit was the first in 4 years because of Covid. We were not disappointed. It was as good ,perhaps even better than our previous holidays. Staff very welcoming and efficient, nothing too much trouble. The hotel is immaculately maintained and our room (junior suite ), very spacious with very comfortable beds. Excellent choice at breakfast which is served from 0730, perfect for our golf times at the adjoining Pals course. The course itself is in first class condition especially the greens. The clubhouse is very relaxing and ideal for lunch. The hotel’s beach restaurant is also a great choice for lunch. Dining in the evening , overlooking the beautiful pool, was a pleasure. We would recommend La Costa as a good base for exploring the surrounding countryside and picturesque villages, with a beautiful beach and dunes on its doorstep. We are looking forward to return visit.

Staff were rude from check in, dinner service poor on the first night. Pool is great. Customer service is absolutely appalling. Hotel is still living in the 90s. Definitely wouldn't bother with it again.

A great time in one of the most beautiful parts of Cataluña, Spain!!! Incredible time with our family; exceptional to go with kids, swimming pool incredible, food better, and such a beautiful golf! The hotel service friendly and very kind !!! We will repeat for sure

It is a run down hotel. The price of the room (€ 338,- per night) suggests that you will arrive in a luxurious hotel, but it is not worth the 4 stars that are on the building. Room and bathroom are old. Airconditioning is very noisy. Staff at reception have only eyes for their computer in the back room and do not notice guests waiting. They give no information when checking in about the hotel restaurants etc. 4 out of 5 days housekeeping came after 4 pm !!!!, while we were out of the room everyday by 10.30am. Ridiculous!! Sun beds at the pool are very old and worn out. Some of the staff are friendly, but a lot of them are annoyed by the guests. The only positive thing is the golf course. Good course and friendly staff. We will definitely not return.

Excellent beach resort. We stayed for 6 nights in June 2022.Very polite and helpful staff. I was concerned about visiting unfamiliar place but there was always someone ready to help and answer all questions. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. Beautiful view toward the pool area from our balcony. They have different size pools including a very shallow one which was perfect for our 18 mo old daughter. She enjoyed playing in the water very much. As other people mentioned the breakfast buffet is nice. Overall the Resort is well managed. Quiet. People are extremely polite. Speaking about both staff and visitors. We had enjoyable stay and will definitely visit again. The Resort is situated in the middle of Costa Brava and easy access to all interesting places. So rent a car and explore.

For a 4-star hotel, we expect to be better received! Never anyone at reception, only receptionists who can be seen behind office windows... For catering, while it was very cold (from April 22 to 26, 2024), you had to go outside morning and evening to help yourself. ! There are some very nice restaurant rooms though! It's a shame because this establishment has a magnificent setting with swimming pool, beautiful rooms, and access to the sea by crossing the road. The proximity of the gulfs is also an asset. I hope that my comments will be taken into account to improve the quality of your services. Monique Durand
