We stayed for three nights in a Grande cabin and it was fantastic and clean. The beds were very comfortable and my 10-year old son loved sleeping in the loft area. The location of the cabin was great for exploring both the Hatcher Pass area and Palmer. It was also helpful for us to have a gas station within walking distance that sold the basics. I would note that the cabins are not in the woods or remote at all. But that wasn't an important factor for us.

Hatcher Pass Cabins were delightful! Close to the State Fair, some great hikes, the Independence Mine and quite a few fun breweries. We stayed in one of the Great Cabins and enjoyed the full kitchen for our breakfast and snacking. Natalie was a wonderful host who communicated quickly and was helpful with suggestions of things to do and see.

The cabin was just what we hoped for and the location was perfect for exploring beautiful Hatcher Pass. Less than an hours drive from the airport in Anchorage and 10 minutes to Palmer. We liked it so much my daughter is coming back in a couple of weeks.

Great stay! Very good value, and the cabin is so darn cute! We are not Alaska residents, but had heard about this “mountain road” (unpaved for the middle 20 or so miles) Hatcher Pass…there is a state historical park (independence mine) up on the top. A fun 2 night trip with the Wifey. Great little bar and grill just a five minute walk up the fishhook road. Off the beaten path… just the way we like it! I would stay again

We booked via ******* and lodging policies of two night minimum and no refunds not clearly visible or transparent on this platform for Hatchers Pass cabins. We made reservations 4 months in advance for two night stay. Immediately I saw conflict with timing of scheduled activity over 185 miles away that would make it extreme difficulty for keeping our first night’s reservation. Same day I contacted ******* who tried to intervene with proprietor and then I personally tried to negotiate with proprietor who absolutely refused to be flexible. We ended up staying 1 night but paid in full for two. This left us with a very bad taste in our mouths. It’s not like we had to cancel 4 days before, BUT 4 months before?!? Come on! I would recommend guests not staying here if you should find yourselves in a similar circumstance as us and have to cancel even on long notice before. Also ******* needs to put lodging policies upfront and center for all users before booking is completed.

Great cabin with all the comforts of home. Fully stocked kitchen, great choices for morning coffee, comfortable beds, good shower, nice fire pit with firewood provided and convenient gas station/grocery nearby. We would definitely stay here again

If you're looking for a convenient location for Hatcher Pass and Palmer/Wasilla and a great little cabin, this is ideal. If you want remote, this is not what you want. Excellent location for access to Hatcher Pass area. Very nice and clean cabins with everything you will need for a comfortable, homey night after a day of exploring. The only downside is proximity to the road, which leads to some traffic noise, but no other complaints.

The cabin was cute, cozy, and mostly a comfortable stay- but the bad/weird bathroom situ needs a traveler's heads up (so to speak!) The cabin is tiny- home small, and the bathroom is a very small stall tucked in the corner, maybe 4'x4', and the walls don't reach to the ceiling. There's maybe a foot gap. Needless to say, a privacy issue. There's no sink in the bathroom - you have to use the kitchenette sink and counter as your bath vanity. There's also no real light in bathroom- we did discover 3 days in a teeny small battery (dead) light stuck on to the wall. To light the bathroom, you turn on the main cabin ceiling light, that spills into the bathroom from the gap above. The shower is really small, and as another reviewer mentioned the overhead spray nozzle is too big and awkward for the space. The neck leaked-probably from someone trying to adjust, spraying water all over the wall. Also, the toilet was clogged and not working properly, Natalie was very prompt though in fixing the toilet and also adding battery to the light and repairing the shower head. The kitchenette was well equipped, but very cramped so fixing a meal was like a Chinese puzzle. There are very few outlets, kitchen had one with 5? plug adaptor had to accomodate microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, toaster, hair dryer. The cabin was clean, warm, the bed was very comfortable. Bedside table and lamp on one side only.

This place was filthy. It was so bad we didn’t even stay and had to book elsewhere. There was food debris and bugs in drawers and the fridge couldn’t hold temperature causing water to sit in it. The whole place smelled musty and was not somewhere we felt comfortable. When we expressed concerns to the owner, she told us cleanliness is a matter of opinion and didn’t offer any compensation or solutions. DO NOT book here. We are out money and really didn’t felt welcomed to the area. Very disappointing because everywhere else in Palmer was so nice.
