Our 5th visit here and another visit booked for end of september, such a chilled out hotel, no rush on a morning to get a sunbed, loads available. Relaxing music played around the pool, not rowdy one bit. Rooms modern, breakfast good, a good choice to chose from. Snack bar serving good food and drinks, plus great staff, Jorge is brilliant. Looking forward to our trip later in the year.
Aparthotel Ponent Mar

It is an apartment-type hotel with kitchen facilities. First of all, the pool is very well-made and the accessibility to the beach restaurant is good. Among the restaurants, the restaurant called Amour? (the most luxurious of them) is still memorable because it provides really delicious food and service without having to go to other restaurants. The room is not that good, but considering the accessibility to the sea and the surrounding environment, it is okay!

I had stayed at this hotel twice before this visit around 4 years ago and thought I knew what to expect; however this place has gone downhill a lot since then. The location of the hotel is great but that is the only good thing about it nowadays unfortunately. We arrived on the first day at around 11am to be told our room would not be ready until at least 3pm, which we understood and was fine. We put our bags in the storage room and was preparing to go to the beach whilst we waited and was then called back and told our room was in fact ready but they didn’t realise. We were then checked in and given the room key. The room was in the annexe part of the hotel which isn’t part of the main building and is very old and dated. We arrived to the room and stared to unpack when we found the toilet still had a poo in it from the previous guests despite the room being ‘cleaned’. I was happy to accept these things can happen but the room in general had a really bad smell of staleness. After deliberating for an hour we decided to ask to move rooms. The lady on reception told us she had nothing else and we would have to wait 2 nights to move rooms. After saying we weren’t at all happy she then found us another room inside the main hotel which was ready immediately. This did not have the sea view that we had paid for but the room was ready and seemed cleaner than the previous so we thought we would make the best of a bad situation. After unpacking in the 2nd room we noticed that the bin in the bathroom was still full from the previous guests. We were obviously starting to wonder how thorough this place gets cleaned. I noticed the wall where the bed is against was absolutely filthy with dust. I wrote my name on the wall in the dust with my finger on the first night and this was still there on the day we left. We didn’t say anything at the reception as didn’t want to be seen as people who moan constantly at this point. During the first night my partner was cold so she got the quilt out of the wardrobe to keep her warm. This didn’t last long as the quilt absolutely stank once she had opened it up and placed it on her. I am not one for moaning but it was absolutely disgusting so we put it in the shower room for the cleaner. It was taken away and never replaced. On the 2nd day the cleaner left her cleaning sprays in our room which we found funny at the point. On one of the middle days the cleaner came to clean the room whilst I was in the middle of using the bathroom. I explained for her to come back in 5 minutes as I was clearly busy. Despite talking some basic English to us for the time here so far she decided she could now speak no English whatsoever and manipulated the conversation to suit her that she was not wanted to clean the room today. After 2-3 minutes of me clearly explaining at the door to come back later she decided from the conversation she was not needed. I later met her in the hallway whilst she was cleaning another room to tell her she

This was a brilliant hotel for a relaxing family holiday. Positives: clean pools, lovely staff (waiters Juan and Angel, and barman Angel) went above and beyond to make our holiday special. They were friendly and a credit to the hotel - taking pride in their job. Buffet food for breakfast and dinner - a nice range of food - different freshly cooked meats and fish in the evenings, with a range of salads. You will not go hungry. The desserts were different each night and delicious. If you use the three a la carte restaurants you need to book but it’s worth it. We tried the Mediterranean one and Italian one and they were sensational. Fine dining on holiday ☺️ The spa was nice to relax in on cooler days. The room was spacious for a family of four and clean swimming and shower towels each day if you need them. The children’s pool area (heated pools) were behind blocks 1&2 but had plenty of sun loungers around the pool. The big pool and swim up pools were not heated - once in we warmed up (but we went in October!!). The oasis adult only pool was heated a nice to swim in. The buffet breakfast closes at 10:30 but the Veranda snack bar opens at 10:30-5 and serves food from 12-4 (lovely salads, burgers, fish dishes). A short 5 mins walk to the lovely beaches - use your room key to go out the gate rather than needing to walk up and around the hotel. Negatives: pool swim up bar was closed (probably due to little occupancy/staff cover). Also can’t use inflatables in the pool (even small ones) no ice creams/cones for children (although you can get ice cream desserts from the snack bar) - this didn’t bother our children. The hotel was very clean and they maintained the beautiful grass/flowers areas. We left on the day the hotel closed for the season and they hadn’t ran out of anything. We could still get our cocktails and milkshakes for the children. If you would like a nice relaxing holiday experience, with delicious food then this is the place for you. If you want water sports, tennis etc then go else where. The staff were lovely and I’d happily go back. 💯 recommend this hotel.

Front desk staff, Sese, welcomed us with a smooth informative check in and quickly arranged collection of our luggage and prompt delivery to our rooms. A welcome gift bottle of fizz, fresh fruit and handwritten card were a lovely surprise congratulating us on our 35th wedding anniversary. Sky barstaff, Monica, outstanding service, swift decision maker, cautious but with a ”can-do” approach. All bar staff professional and friendly, but Monica is exceptional. Breakfast, excellent range on offer, catering for almost every taste. Only suggestion for a significant improvement would be a big step up in the coffee by offering barista coffee (at extra cost). Espresso machines are available at all the bars, but do not open until 10:30 when breakfast has finished. The orange juice fluctuated in quality, the yoghurts were a delightful in-house touch and deliciously refreshing. You can even assemble your own ”full English”. Dinner/evening meal - astonishing range every evening, delicious lamb and excellent fish, the veal was tasty but could have been butchered with a little more care to remove gristle. Wine on the very first night was outstanding (Red, Mallorca) but gradually dropped quality on successive evenings. Outstanding views from Skybar pool, sand, sea, boats, hills and distant mountains. Enjoyed a few cold beers and cocktails watching the date palms and pines swaying to and fro.

Honestly had the best time at this hotel. Went with my partner (28y.o) & the staff were incredible & attentive. We arrived late but got invited to the lounge the following day for our free welcome drinks! Room was spotless & cleaned thoroughly, went b&b so I can’t comment on lunch/dinner but breakfast was good. 😊. There was always sun loungers/beds. Beach is gorgeous just 2 min walk across the road which has a really nice ice cream shop & drinks spot there. Location is perfect too, ***** is 2mins walk with loads of restaurants & bars. highly recommend IROKO for an evening out 🍸😋. ( use google maps as it’s tucked away) Excursions can be booked at a few shops on the *****, we done Jetskis & water park. Magaluf is 20 mins up the road, it was quite an experience 😂. All in all, very good hotel & perfect location, would return.
