The Reef House Adults Retreat

I can’t express how much I love the reef house.. the staff are beyond incredible! They make your stay even better! The signature inclusions are soooo good. Press a button while you’re at the pool and you can order drinks and food to be brought right to you. Cold towels and sorbet brought to you by the pool. Fresh juice of the day, each day.. Cocktail making classes, wine appreciation class, yoga, water aerobics, fishing rods and if you catch a day the chef will cook it for you, use of their bikes to go exploring. Theres a pillow menu for your bed, the beds are comfortable. A spa on site to treat yourself to a massage. 2 pools to choose from, the large tranquility pool which one end is super deep, 2.6m (i think) at one end and a nice shallow end, then you have the mineral pool with a jacuzzi. An amazing restaurant, every meal was incredible! You can opt to eat there or have the meal delivered to the comfort of your room! I really can’t fault the reef house. The staff, the food, the amenities.. This is the perfect kid free getaway, to relax in complete silence and zen! You honestly won’t regret it. You don’t even have to leave the resort. But if you do, they are in a great location and right on the beach! I will be going back asap!!

What an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in we were treated like VIP. We were shown around the Reef House and given an inside to how it started and where it is today. We were shown to our room which smelt absolutely divine and treated ourselves to a cheese platter. We went down and indulged in some wine tasting then went for a swim enjoying cocktails in the pool. Ohh and can’t forget the sorbet bought over to us. There were canapés and punch at 5pm where the guests got to mingle. We then got ready for dinner and sat in the brigadiers lounge and played board games before dinner. Dinner was lovely! The octopus special was amazing and the duck was delicious. The dessert oh my goodness. The chocolate and walnut brownie! Yum. We left with our bellies full and smiles on our faces and we were then given a glass of champagne to take back to our room which was super sweet. Breakfast the next morning did not disappoint. The fresh juice was incredible and the eggs Benedict was beautiful. The staff are all super lovely and helpful! The other guests are lovely and friendly and everything was honestly perfect. I did not want to leave! We will definitely be back religiously every year and whenever we can get another sneaky weekend away. Thank you to all the staff for making our anniversary perfect

Everything about the luxury and the experience is soul soothing. The staff are quiet and kind, the wine tasting experience was joyful. The best spa treatment in Cairns is here at the reef house - total luxurious pamper package. I escaped for my birthday gift to myself. The rooms are beautiful, the view exquisite and I live here in Cairns. I wish I’d booked more nights - lesson learned for next time

What an incredible place! The amenities were amazing and the staff were so friendly and welcoming . They couldn’t be more helpful. The food at the restaurant delectable, you must try their seafood platter, it won’t disappoint. I would highly recommend a stay in the Reef House and we cannot wait to return.

Feeling thoroughly relaxed after our 3 night stay - pool areas quiet (plenty of reading done) with an abundance of sun lounges and shade (or sun, if that’s your thing). Staff were fantastic, very welcoming and friendly. We loved the personal touches of being shown to our room and given the lowdown on where everything was around the hotel and in our room, so no holiday time wasted figuring out aircon or where are the light switches. Rooms are very comfortable and roomier than other hotels we’ve stayed at. The only thing to improve on would be a little sprucing up of the bathrooms - extremely clean, large and functional, just a little outdated. Food selection was varied (light meals to substantial) and delicious, something for everyone - would highly recommend the seafood platter. A great variety of activities and use of the bikes for exploring the other local beaches. We will not stay anywhere else at Palm Cove now that we’ve discovered The Reef Hotel. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our 30th wedding anniversary a memorable celebration. See you all again soon.

What a great few days to unwind after Christmas! Lay around the pool and spoilt by the team and couldn’t recommend higher! Our new favourite spot. Very few places we would go back to and yet this one ticked all the boxes and are looking at the next trip.
