Marriott's Aruba Surf Club

We stayed from 4-11 November 2024 and absolutely Loved It! The resort is Awesome and accommodating, but we rented a car and touched almost every part of the island, hitting local beaches and restaurants. We loved it so much that we purchased Marriott Aruba Surf Club with guaranteed 2BR and 2BA each year for a week; guaranteed accommodation here forward. We got lucky and was able to get a small studio suite and locked it in which got us accomodations to Aruba which is Always Non-Available on the Marriott Vacation Club Site. The locals are the friendliest people on earth and remind us of being in Europe based on kindness. It is a must-visit, to say the least, and get a local tour 4-hour tour to ensure you see all the key sites with narration. Take a ATV tour of the remote beaches and you will see it all. v/r, Dr. & Mrs. King

This is my third time staying at the Marriott Surf Club in Aruba. The toughest part of my day was deciding whether to float in the lazy river or float at the beach. This is the most gorgeous facility offering beautiful grounds, several pools, hot tubs, beach, and the amazing lazy river! Staff is super friendly and helpful. This is a timeshare facility, but you can rent units. Highly recommend!

Pros - Staff is very attentive and friendly - Rooms are clean and on the larger side - Jane & staff at the front desk were very considerate and went above and beyond from the time we checked in till when we checked out. - There are plenty of pool chairs but plan to get down there no later than 730 am to snag the ones you want. We went down between 715/720 and were able to snag 4. They weren’t on the first row at the pool but plenty close. - The Palopas are a cool addition to the resort and provide a ton of shade on the beach. Make sure to login 530pm the night before you want them to get a decent one. - Easy beach access - [ ] Pool and lazy river is open until 10 pm. Cons - While we visited it was the “off” season and the pool/swim up bar was being worked on. Slightly disappointing because that’s always a highlight on vacation. I think this increased how packed the pool area was by 8am to claim chairs. - The Palopas do cost extra ($10-$15 per day). I think this encourages people to use and not save but it was only slightly annoying. Tips - Make sure to bring your own floats (and an extra or 3 extra in our case). We had one pop and two tear so having backups felt silly but we ended up using them all. There are air stations there to fill them up. - Also, I have no idea where you get them but a lot of people had float anchors for the ocean and it was genius. Wish we would have done that because the current / wind can be strong. - Bring extra laundry detergent - we brought tide pods and were able to do a quick load each night. - Superfoods delivers for free ! We stopped on the way in, but they do deliver to the Surf Club for free (and you can arrange a time). - Bring a small cooler, you can BYOB beer but with the heat it gets warm fast. - You really can drink the sink water there and it’s better than what we have in the US. I would bring a water bottle and a separate “beverage” cup as well. Our two bedroom has a dishwasher which was nice. - [We did not rent a car, most taxi rides are $10-15 each way and it was more cost efficient for us to do this. Its easy to catch a cab in front of the resort (there is a line and the bellmen grab for you) and then when you’re in town, easiest spot is going to be in front of another hotel.

Beautiful resort! We always stay at Marriott where ever we go and they are yet to let us down. We requested the bottom floor and were able to walk right out to the pool/ beach. This resort is a quick walk down the beach to the ******, clubs, restaurants and shopping. We played pool bingo everyday and had so much fun! Drink all the delicious water fresh out of the tap with out a worry in the world. We all really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back!!

Amazing staff, excellent amenities. Only problem we had was getting chairs in the shade. People were already tagging chairs night before and very early morning before the 7am time to start. Restaurant & shops are abundant walking along beach & boardwalk

We came here with two toddlers and overall had a good experience. Pros: condo style rooms with full kitchen and all the necessities. Laundry in unit was a huge plus with kiddos. Clean unit and well taken care of. Two small pools dedicated for toddlers (6in deep) and also the regular kid friendly pool with slide and lazy river. Walking distance to many family friendly restaurants. Car is not needed unless you want to explore outside the hotel. Cons: lots of walking! I feel like they need to add a few things for grab and go food on the beach and just a few extras around. I felt like we were constantly walking which is tough for toddlers. The beach palapas are not free, you basically have to wake up at 7 AM daily and reserve one online for $10. The food is also very over priced, which is true of most of Aruba. Poolside quick bites are $17-20. Also, this hotel is extremely crowded, the beach is packed. For this reason, I will consider elsewhere in the future. Tips: order superfood for pick up groceries when you arrive and load up on food/drinks for in the room. They have everything. Bring a cooler bag. We also used travel light Aruba and rented full sized cribs and other toddler needs. This was worth it as Marriott didn’t offer or promise a pack n play.
