Alia Palace is the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at. I cannot recommend it enough. We booked a junior suite with our own pool, and went all inclusive. We cannot begin to tell you how worth it this was! It was absolutely magical having our own pool with our room overlooking the most stunning scenery and the sea. Nothing will compare. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and vibrant. The options were different daily and even myself as a vegetarian, I found plenty of choices to choose from. My fiancé is a meat eater and constantly said how juicy and delicious the meat was. The staff, well, the staff! They are just wonderful. So kind, so friendly, and their English was excellent. I even found myself learning a bit of Greek from them! They truely go above and beyond and that is why our stay was so extra great. I was absolutely delighted when the hotel staff picked up about it being my birthday during our stay, and secretly left a bottle of wine and card in our suite on the day of my birthday to have when we got back, it was so kind and a really generous touch that I will never forget. We will definately be back. We are so sad to leave! Thank you again Alia Palace.

Stayed here for a week mid October and we really enjoyed our stay. The pool area is beautiful and has the most gorgeous sea views. The hotel was very nicely decorated and very relaxing atmosphere. Our room was nicely designed, very clean and had everything we needed in there, iron, kettle etc. We also tried the a la carte menu (which is separate to the buffet area) and the food was to die for! Definitely some of the best food we had that week, so impressed! If you want a good meal and don’t feel like travelling out of the hotel then ask for the a la carte menu. The staff were all helpful and friendly as were the cleaners. The hotel is at the top of a very long hill, however the hotel has a shuttle bus every hour to take you down to the main road or the beach & it can pick you up at certain times. But most nights we ended up getting a taxi which cost €5 from the main road up to alia palace. Only thing I will say is if you have breathing difficulties then to try request a room in the first block on the ground floor. I have a lung condition and we were in the 3rd block and 4 flights of stairs up to our room as there’s no lift. I was offered a different room but stuck with the one I had as preferred the room itself. There is a golf cart at reception and you can get a lift up to your block if he’s there. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend coming here!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the junior suite with private pool, sea side view and although the pool was freezing in our room (it was bound to be in end of season), it was beautiful. We could watch the sunrise from our room, and it was amazing. The hotel itself was always clean, the staff was friendly and always helpful, nothing was ever too much for them. We were all inclusive, and we found that it was worth it. Food was quite repetitive sometimes, but you just change up your choices each day. Always different options, and we found the drinks included were nice and also, strong! We did venture out a few times for food and a mooch around, there is a free shuttle bus to and from the hotel to the village town hourly as it is up a very big hill, but we walked down and back a couple of times, it looks much worse than it is, but would recommend planning your day around the bus drop off and pick up times. The pool bar staff especially were incredible, and were really easy to get along with, and the restaurant staff were polite. Prepare for the cats and dogs around the hotel, the dogs won’t come up to you, but the cats will if you’re eating outside, they don’t beg, they just sit around and are completely harmless. Before coming. I read a few negative reviews about this place, and I was slightly put off about coming here and wanted to change, but I’m so glad we stuck to it. If you come later in the year, I recommend bringing a hoodie and trousers or a blanket for your legs, it gets pretty chilly in the evenings! But they also provide dressing gowns and a blanket on the bed. Oh and the views are stunning, we watched the sunrise, sunset and the moonrise, all from the hotel! We loved it!

The hotel staff were brilliant especially the bar staff/ servers at the end of each night, everyone was so friendly and we had a great time. The rooms and pool were also stunning, although cold, overall had a great experience and would visit again. Love Freya McCormack& Lorna thompson

Lovely hotel. Gorgeous location on top of the hills with stunning views. We had the deluxe room with private heated pool, which was great. Seen people commenting on here about poor food and bad staff, but we never experienced anything like that. All the staff were nice and we thought the food was lovely. No complaints at all and look forward coming back.

Not 5 star 3 at most. Food boring, buffet style. Balcony never got sun. Bar in reception never opened. Shower/bath no non slip mat or handrails which was scary when temperatures changed hot to cold regularly. Room basic. Very steep climb from pool area to room. Do not recommend not 5 star.

Beautiful hotel setting. It is around one and a half hours from the airport. We had to pay 100euros upfront when checking-in for holiday tax The pools are lovely but they were cold in September. The rooms are absolutely wonderful.. The food was not great. It was edible, but very repetitive. We were lucky we did not go all inclusive. The guests who did go all inclusive kept saying they had a lot of things that they could not have. We also noticed that all inclusive drinks looked very watered down and tasteless. When we bought our cocktails they were fantastic. I would recommend their Strawberry Daiquiri and Pinacolada. Most of the staff were great. A few of them were just complete daydreamers. The daytime waiter with a ponytail at the bar was exceptional, working very hard everyday serving pool guests. He was always very friendly and helpful. There is a bus that drives up and down the hill going to the local shops and beach which is 5-10 minutes away. The beach is not sandy here. It's gravelly and pebbly and was not our cup of tea. Nothing goes on during the day. People just laze around the pool. It could really do with some activity. Every other night they have what they call entertainment. Debbie and Paul in charge of Karaoke on Sundays are absolutely brilliant. Debbie is a fantastic entertainer and gets everyone involved, and dancing and singing. The rest of them are not so great and most guests spend their time playing cards and having drinks. In conclusion, the hotel itself is stunning. Fantastic rooms. The food and entertainment are definitely not 5 star. I would not go back for the value.

This is an average place with an average crowd, staff and food. I was solo and asked for a balcony seaview...instead they gave me what they said was an upgrade to a poolroom that was way up a steep hill and as I said I was solo...i didnt need all that! I asked to be moved but they had nothing..which was upsetting as I said I wanted to wake up and see the sea not a pool on a mountain. Given they had a buggy that took you up the mountain but they weren't always there to assist. I paid for seaview..but that wasnt what I received. As others mention nice to have a pool..but overlooks a mountain and there is no sun there...so pool is useless! Paid for AI European you have to keep that in mind when you travel to Europe and se AI. Breakfast was included but needed to needed to add either you wanted dinner or lunch and I choose dinner. Again breakfast and dinner were the same things every day I was there and I was there for 4 days. That was the best part short stay I would have been deeply disappointed if I spent more time here. The pool people ran to leave their towels like 7AM which was crazy to me because there was more then enough chairs. I rented a car to explore and glad I did. Will I visit this place again? mostly likely not. They do have lovely views and pools!!!

Hotel not 5* at all, only 1 toilet by pool area and not that clean, food is ok and that is being kind, no option to change on last day other then shower by the toilet which you cannot get changed in or hang towel due to size so that was difficult and uncomfortable they offered spa area but if they have customers in there you cannot use nowhere to change in comfort or private, views are amazing and rooms nice, we had swim up pool but couldn’t use as shaded all day, which is such a shame! Like I said nice views but not much else on an island where you can find so much better for price paid which was in excess of £900 for 2 people half board for 3 nights!
