Lovely clean apartment. AC was free, my sister and I had a balcony, mozzie screen and patio doors leading outside. Bedding Changed every 3 days and towels every day if you wanted. No clothes airer, not enough sockets. They gave us more hangers when I asked. Fab shower. Very comfy beds. Brekkie was fab and no restrictions on how much you could have. Continental, cooked and fruit. Salad, yoghurt, breads. Tea, juices and their coffee was the best. Great pool and there is a spa pool too. Lovely well maintained gardens. Free WiFi. Staff were lovely and place is run by brothers, all welcoming and friendly. Bar drinks were a bit pricey so we went elsewhere. We went half board, a lack of veg with evening meal so we would go b&b if we came again, we ended up eating out in the last few days. Bus stop not far and beach close by. 10 min walk into village. One downside was that people put towels on sunbeds very early so most of the time we never got the sun facing beds and parasols. Great music around the bar and pool. We liked all the staff and it felt homely. We would come again, it felt safe and comfortable.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here rooms are kept very clean and tidy all the staff work exceptionally hard all day long. our only "gripe" with our room was our bed was placed under a window and the curtains oddly only went to the edge of the window which meant when you lay down the bottom of the curtain swung about your head! it also let too much light into the room on a morning tea and coffee making facilities would also be a huge bonus as we really missed just having that cuppa before going out to dinner. spacious balconies overlooking the well kept grounds (would have preferred more privacy) lots of sunbeds no sunbed hogging here at all breakfast was ok for what we paid. we certainly didnt struggle to feed ourselves and the breakfast area is lovely. the hotel IS on a busy road but we were never bothered by noise. its a nice easy 15 minute stroll to hanioti centre which has plenty of bars and restaurants and shops to keep you busy. frequent busses run along the main road to get you to most places on the island. afytos is really lovely for a visit. dont be put off when you get off the bus as we all were thinking where the hell are we?? its a quick 5 minute stroll to get to the main village. grounds and pool all very relaxing and quiet. all in all if you are looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful this is probably hard to beat. we probably would not come back to Halkididki itself. not because it wasn't lovely, but because, as my husband put it, it was a bit too "laid out" and easy for us. and we want to visit more traditional greek places first.

Having spent a week at the hotel and now back home in the UK we have had time to reflect on our own experience at Hanioti Village. On our arrival at the hotel during the late afternoon we was met at the reception desk by Billy who was one of the owners and to our dismay was surprised by how rude he came across however we put it down to the fact that he may have had a long day and so had we due to the travelling,It made the start of our holiday feel very unwelcoming but we just said to ourselves maybe tomorrow he may be a bit more friendly towards us ?So off we went to our room with a pool view and went out onto the veranda only to see a large shrub blocking our pool view unless we stood on the chairs,so we left it and thought not to say anything as Billy appeared to be unapproachable when we arrived. As each day passed we observed that Billy's rudeness was consistent until day 6 when he eventually started to be a little more polite to us and others in the hotel. We noted on several occasions when passing through the reception area that his brother Perry was sat there but never acknowledged us unless we spoke first,we we find very strange. On a more positive note the external grounds and rooms were kept immaculate and the maids and other staff were very helpful,The food was of a good standard and a special mention to Parish who worked late afternoons /nights who was very friendly and helpful. On the morning we left there was nobody on reception at 10am so we left the keys on the desk and left through the side entrance quietly! Regarding things to do the white beach was 5 mins from the hotel and Hanioti town 15 stroll with lots of activity after 7pm.Pefkhori was a 45 min leisurely walk or 6 euros taxi when hot. There was a new supermarket 10 mins walk as you turn left out the hotel on the main road. Also there was a mini market at the Lesse hotel across the road to your right. And for those who like a few beers /cocktails or good food make sure you visit Nicks last chance saloon bar 10 min walk from the hotel on the way into town.Nick definitely knows how to make you feel welcome that you keep going back. There are lots of mosquitoes so advised to take repellent. We will not be returning to this hotel or recommending it to anybody.

Spent a lovely chilled 5 nights here and couldn't fault it. Room ready on arrival and enough space for two- felt safe to sleep with balcony door open (and has a bug mesh) but the road could be loud at times. No kitchen but there is a fridge and glasses and thats all we needed! Lovely pool area, plenty of sunbeds, fantastic selection for breakfast hot and cold. 2 mins over the road to the beach, 5-10 mins to restaurants- plenty of restaurants in the square to choose from. We also walked to Polychronos and Pefkhori - both about an hours walk in opposite directions but if you only have the energy for one walk we much preferred Polychronos.

Lovely Hotel in well maintained surroundings with chilled music throughout the day. There was attention to detail in all areas with many visits from the cats. The pool area was never over busy even though there were the early towels on the sunbeds! We went to the beach most days, which was a 5-10 min walk where there were a few restaurants. There is plenty of food at breakfast, and you are able to have an evening meal at a cost of 12 Euros but there are various places to eat in the main square of Hanioti.

Absolutely delightful place and I had a really restful few days here. It's beautifully run and maintained and perfectly located. I had the best holiday romance as well - utterly smitten by the cats.

Couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough we've visited three times now and would still go back tomorrow Perry and Billy the owners are always hands on with anything and Paris also always wanting to keep customers happy they have been running this family business since 1989. The cleaners are on board every day and credit to them they do a very good job. The only draw back was storm Daniel which kept us inside for a few days but that was not their fault although they kept apologising. When the sun was out it was heaven. The grounds of this hotel are very pretty with Perry out on his mower often. Praise where praise is due it's all down to the boys hopefully we will be back soon!

I would definitely never go again or recommend this accommodation. I found the owners/managers (NOT GREEK) of this establishment to be very unwelcoming on our arrival and throughout. The morning owner/manager (there are 2) cwas particularly unfriendly and could barely manage to say hello at breakfast. Outside if that he never acknowledged us. The other owner/manager was ok if you spoke to him but he never engaged in conversation otherwise. There was no kettle in the room. When I asked for one I was told they didn't provide them but I could go and buy one! 4 days in I asked to borrow an iron. He couldn't find it and I got a 'sorry love but I haven't got one.' As a result 3 outfits could not be worn. The breakfast was poor. Very dry small croissants. I had a fried egg which was cold (burners underneath had gone out). Overall I was uncomfortable as I found them unapproachable. I have never experienced this before and I have been to many Greek islands over the years.

Amazing stay, we had a wonderful time! We visited with our 5 year old who loved everything about the hotel - especially the cats! The staff were so friendly to us all, and especially our little one. The pool, restaurant and rooms were all incredibly clean. So much space around the pool, it never felt crowded. We stayed in a suite and our balcony was large and wonderfully shaded. The AC in the room chilled it nicely as well - it was 33 Celsius outside but we didn't feel it inside! Lots of good food options, and we loved the breakfast buffets. We had lunch in the nice shady bar several days and one amazing dinner there too. Portions are huge! Location is great, with several beach bars in walking distance, and only 10-15 minutes' walk to the town of Hanioti.
