Hotel Summery

The views from the sea rooms are stunning. All restaurants, shops and cafes are very close by. The pool has plenty of loungers and is a lovely way to relax. The hotel staff are absolutely wonderful and do everything they can to make your stay perfect.

Fantastic Location 5* Very clean and friendly staff. Bathroom patched up and although clean needs updating with bigger shower cubicles and wall fitting shower spray. I heard there had been a bar open in evenings previous years but sadly this year closed - I would have used this for a nightcap.

From the minute we arrived we felt at home. The staff and owners were so friendly. The bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance, as is the ferry to take you to the main town of Argostoli from where you can explore the island further by boat or by bus.. I would recommend The Summery to travellers young and old as it is in a quiet area but not far from the main square where there are many tavernas to choose from. The sea view is exquisite. I hope we can visit again soon.

Appears lovely in pictures but in reality in need of major refurbishment. The communal areas were freshly decorated and bright.Reception area welcoming and staff friendly. The room we were in, a twin was small and the beds pushed together which would not allow you to get in and out easily. We separated them and put the bedside table on the opposite wall so there was room to get the fridge door open. The beds were firm and got a decent sleep on them. The bathroom was outdated, old worn out tiles, cracked and attempts made to patch up in areas. Screws to hold the shower in place were rusty. Shower was ok if you didn't put water pressure on too high. The balcony was nice overlooking the pool area and sea beyond.However the railings were badly in need of repainting. Air con was adequate but a bit noisy. The room was kept clean on a daily basis if you requested it. We had to ask every night for tea bags and coffee as was not filled up each day. I wouldn't recommend breakfast for us British folks as consisted of salad, cold meats and cheese, bread, tasteless cake and watermelon. You could choose fron the a la carte menu, we tried the omelette but was pretty dry. We chose to eat out each day. The breakfast cost 12 euros a day. We did have an enjoyable stay, the proximity to the centre and the beach made it easy to access. Unsure how often /when the pool was cleaned as noted grime around side some days. The bar (outside)had a happy hour between 17.00-1800.The cocktails were pretty poor, did not taste like the real thing. Would not advise.

We have just returned from our second visit to this lovely hotel. We went last year and booked straight away when we got home.Nothing has changed thank goodness,although reading some reviews I think they must have been to a different hotel. The staff are great,friendly, efficient and very welcoming. Our room was brilliant, large and airy. Two balconies and nice sized bathroom.The shower cubical was great.Breakfast was fine,gave us everything we wanted,especially now the plastic screens have been removed. Special mention to the lovely lifeguard who was so friendly, he was great.I think if the hotel was changed it would spoil the whole feeling of the place. Marvellous..

Hotel Summery Lixouri Needs a little tlc 918956569 Pros: Excellent location on beach, Short distance from ferry terminal and lovely square where we ate most evenings, breakfast reasonable if not a little repetitive after 11 days. Great views from balcony over grounds and harbour area. Excellent restaurants within a short walk which is all pretty much on the level. Cons: rooms could do with updating more so the bathrooms which had cracked tiles and a very small shower area, electrics need a good update too. Dining room staff could do with happy training most walk round with sad faces most mornings
