After Jaipur we came here, we are nature lovers and the setting is beautiful. It is very peaceful, luxurious and the pool and spa are wonderful. We were so well looked after- actually we were the only guests on our first night (80 staff!) so very well looked after. We spotted an osprey on arrival and so many birds when we went to on the sunrise boat trip. It was magical. Went on a nature walk and saw loads- spotted owlets and birds of prey Room and patio area are gorgeous- we loved having 3 nights. Very relaxing

Great rooms with terraces overlooking the lake, a very nice pool, beautiful gardens and a very good restaurant. Only some chairs in the restaurant were not ideal as they were either too low or too soft which made dinner slightly uncomfortable.

Unique ! Super luxurious and sophisticated modern 'tents',beautifully designed overlooking a never ending vast dam and surrounded by shrub forest in the heart of rural Rajasthan...where the only sounds you hear are the chirping of birds and the incessant and positive caws and shrieks from the majestic peacocks ! Impeccable and refined service..they do everything possible to make your stay memorable and indeed it was ..from boat rides , nature walks,jeep safaris to a magnificent sundowner on the cliff !..We were also able to briefly meet the very dignified family who reside on and own these vast lands ,so gained an insight into its history and preservation which made our trip there meaningful and complete . Absolutely fabulous and highly recommended !

I had high hopes returning to Chhatrasagar, having experienced its magic years ago when the two original brothers ran the property with genuine warmth, attention to detail, and a deep respect for their guests and the land. Sadly, that magic is long gone. The charm and authenticity that once defined Chhatrasagar have been replaced with a generic, commercialized feel that prioritizes profit over experience. The prices are now wildly inflated, and what you get in return feels hollow compared to what this place used to offer. Service was inconsistent and lacked the personal touch that once made staying here feel like being welcomed into someone’s home. The food was mediocre at best, a far cry from the thoughtfully prepared meals we remembered. Even the tents and overall ambiance felt tired – as though the soul of the place had been lost in its transition to new management. It’s heartbreaking to see such a special place reduced to just another overpriced luxury camp. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who remembers what Chhatrasagar used to be. If this is your first time visiting, you might not notice what’s missing – but for those of us who knew it before, the difference is stark and disappointing.

A tranquil remote place, our accommodation was on a dam overlooking a lake. A luxury tent, it was large, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The service we received was excellent throughout. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, which specialises in home-grown, home-cooked food. We took a boat trip around the lake, where, helped by the very knowledgeable naturalist, we spotted many bird species.

Extraordinary from arrival to departure. Top quality organic food from the garden, fabulous service, gorgeous rooms. The birdwatching boat tour on the lake was a nice activity although if you’re a serious twitcher you might be disappointed. We did see osprey, cormorants, egrets etc but mostly from a distance (binoculars provided). Sundowners on the hilltop rounded out a perfect day. A nice break from the frenetic cities.
