Fantastic hotell with exceptional good service. The reception hjelped organise trips we wanted, or whatever we needed before and during our stay. The Rooms were Big and beautiful and huge bed. It was cleaned twice a day. Always fresh towels and at night a night time chocolate on your bedstand. The breakfast outstanding. A short walk to Main streets. Loved this hotell and its staff.
Maxim

Just spent 10 days at the B&B Maxim in Palermo. Great city and a wonderfully located hotel. Our room was ideal and nicely furnished. Francesca was a brilliant host. Very helpful and informative about where we could visit in Sicily. Helped us with booking tickets and nothing was too much trouble for her. Visited Cefalu by train and the Sicilia Outlet mall by bus and basically walked the city of Palermo as well as using the hop on hop off bus service. Felt safe even at night. This was our first visit to Sicily and I’m sure we will be back. I recommend the B&B Maxim as the place to stay and Ottos as the place to eat
Hotel City Center

For the price paid per night (<£70) and its location, it’s what you need for exploring Palermo. Walkable distance to Palermo Lolli train station (where the airport train will take you) and bus stops. On a quieter street with coffee shop downstairs and a couple of bars in close distance. Lots of options for dinner close by too. The room was basic, clean, comfortable bed. The bathroom could go a refresh. Air con was okay. Managed to check in early which was welcome. There is a bit of noise you can hear from your neighbours / the reception but it doesn’t go on late at all.
Best Western Ai Cavalieri Hotel

I stayed at this hotel for one week in October 2023. This was my first time in Sicily and my first time in Palermo. I had a very memorable experience indeed! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They are also very spacious! The hotel is also located in an excellent location close to the Mercato Ballaro and it's just right around the corner from Piazza Politeama. The staff were all very friendly, polite, and helpful. I would definitely stay there again and definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of going to Palermo!

Hotels recommended by friends of Palermo. Strong points: two steps from the centre; gentleness and availability of staff and especially of all present Luciano; good breakfast service (although I would have preferred some local typicals more); definitely sustainable rates. In replacement, the palace that hosts the hotel (and a little over the whole area) would need a radical restoring that should indeed be extended to some rooms (including the room that hosted us). The rooms are not the most comfortable, but cleaning and comfort are acceptable, so if you do not have very great demands, it can be good.
Residenza Wagner

The Residenza Wagner is actually the 3rd floor of a residential building, configured to operate as a boutique hotel/B&B accommodation. Our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet with a large ensuite bathroom. As we arrived outside regular reception hours, we had been provided very detailed instructions for self checkin and that worked out smoothly. We also had a little balcony overlooking the lane behind the property. The location near Politeama square is advantageous (1) the airport bus (Prestia e Comande) stops 300m from the hotel, so very convenient to arrive (we flew into Palermo) and leave (our rental car pickup was from the airport as well) (2) this is an upmarket residential area, on the edge of the old town, so the Quattro Canti and historic centre are about 10 mins walk away as well. The host Francesco is friendly and warm and speaks perfect English. 2 days in Palermo were slightly short to benefit from his wealth of information about the city and its surroundings.
