"This was the best accommodation on my trip to Sicily. The apartment is located near the center, but in a quiet area. Nearby there are transport stops, Monte Pellegrino mountain, Port. The interior is very beautiful. It's clean and nice to be there. Gabriele was very friendly, helpful and full of positivity. Highly recommend it!"

"Lovely little hotel, exceptional location. As a solo traveler, I really enjoyed the convenience of having a multitude of restaurants and bars available at my door step. Despite the area being lively, little noise would be heard in the room. Breakfast was delicious, great shower, comfy bed and super friendly host. This was an extremely pleasant stay!"
"It's not suitable for people who have big suitcases, its on the top floor (5th floor), the entrance of the apartment is scary, dark with no lights, stairs very small its not good if you carry a lot of things with you, you can fell down easily. They not allow to use pulley (its not broken). Overall not a good experience for me."
"The room was clean and tidy. Very small hotel, the service staff is very warm.
The hotel is conveniently located opposite the Opera House. It is a few minutes away from attractions or shopping streets."
"The host's service and cleanliness were both good. The apartment is close to the station, making it convenient for commuting. However, the apartment faces the street, making it very noisy and nearly impossible to sleep. I barely slept the entire night."
"Although there are no facilities at this BnB which is obvious, the breakfast they served was already worth it. Not to mention how close it was to every tourist spots, and you can easily get a scooter or bike whichever you prefer."

GGalina EfimovaMy First Hostel Experience — And It Was a Blast!
Ostello Bello Palermo was my first-ever hostel stay, and honestly — it was an amazing surprise! At first, I was placed in a room with all guys, but when I asked to switch, the staff quickly and kindly arranged a change for me. Each room has 11 beds and 2 showers, and everything was super clean, which I really appreciated. The common area is lovely — warm, welcoming, and full of life. That night, there was a DJ party that lasted until 1 a.m., and sleeping was definitely not an option… but I was in the spirit of experimentation, so I just went with it and ended up dancing and having a great time. I met some amazing local musicians who were born in Palermo, and we had such a fun night hanging out and talking. It felt like a truly authentic and spontaneous experience. Breakfast was tasty, with a good selection. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly — especially one guy at the reception (I wish I remembered his name!) who was just the sweetest. Thank you for making my first hostel stay so special. I’ll never forget it 💛
IIntravenousNot a hotel, more like a Bnb with limited service
October 2025
We booked Mia Terra expecting a hotel — but it turned out to be more of a one-man bed and breakfast. From the start, nothing went smoothly. We had decided to take up the host’s offer of an airport shuttle (not cheap), as one of us only had one evening in Palermo and every minute counted. The shuttle arrived 15 minutes late, and when we finally reached the property, no one was there to check us in, causing yet another delay — even though the host had personally arranged our transport and knew our arrival time. The host then offered excuses that didn’t line up with the shuttle driver’s story (which btw, the driver didn’t even know our destination — we had to guide him — and only accepted cash, which we weren’t told in advance.)
Check-in was confusing and disorganized. Despite several text messages from the host to confirm our room setup (which should have been clear from the booking), he had still assigned the wrong rooms and once again found excuses, incorrectly blaming the booking platform. When we asked him to fix it, he was reluctant but eventually agreed — behaving as if he were doing us a favor — though he did offer free breakfast as compensation, which we didn’t need.
Since there is no staff at the property. The host promised to respond to messages “within minutes,” yet replies often took hours. The whole experience felt like a single person trying to run a hotel alone — and it shows.
To be fair, the rooms were clean and comfortable, although in one of them, the shower faced the bedroom through a glass wall, so you had to shower in the dark for privacy.
Overall, the service and professionalism fell far short of hotel standards. If you’re expecting the reliability of an actual hotel, look elsewhere.
CCourtneyWe had a fantastic stay at this quirky little boutique hotel in Palermo, Sicily. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Even though we showed up earlier than planned, they had no problem letting us in and went out of their way to accommodate us.
We were offered a massive breakfast completely free of charge while we waited, which was such a generous touch. Not only that, but we were also invited to relax by the pool until our rooms were ready — a perfect way to unwind after traveling.
The atmosphere of the place is relaxed and a bit offbeat in the best possible way — full of personality and charm. It’s rare to find a place where the customer service feels this genuine. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a warm, welcoming, and slightly unconventional stay in Palermo!
IItaly ExplorerVery good overall. The breakfast was actually fantastic. The location was b close the main nubs one towards the city centre. The bus cost about 1.30. A taxi or uber is 15-20 euros but the walk is just 20 minutes city centre. City tax is also very cheap!
GGuest UserTHIS WAS THE BEST CHOICE I DID IN SICILY.
First, this is the cleanest place I saw in my trip. They ask you every morning if you want a cleaning when they bring you breakfast. The bathroom/shower room is modern and same as the picture. The body soap, shampoo, conditioner was a Sicily one that was very nice of them. The public space was so good, they had balcony so it would be great to take pictures for instagram.
Secondly, the breakfast. Insanely great. You can choose 2 things from about 15 types of dishes such as sandwiches or yogurt or fruits. For drink you can pick 1 from about 15 types such as cappuccino or hot chocolate. They have milk choices like oat milk and almond milk that is amazing in this price. For spread, you can choose 2 from about 10 types such as honey or Nutella or almond butter or many flavors of jam. For a dessert, you can choose a cake from 2 or 3 types they have that day. You can choose where you want to eat room or public space.
Thirdly, the staffs were a lot more kind and friendly then the average of sicily.
Nice place absolutely recommend!!
GGuest UserDecent hotel but toiletries like toothbrush isn’t provided and they provide only 2-in-1 shampoo which isn’t good for your hair
The breakfast items were poor as well, especially the scrambled eggs (simple dish that’s difficult to mess up)
DDavidThe large hotel is really impressive. 14 floors, we were on the 7th. The service is very nice and helpful and for some reason uses technology from the 70s. But hey, it works. Unfortunately the roof terrace was closed in February.
It was always clean inside, it was cleaned daily. The furnishings are also a bit older, but functional. We really enjoyed our stay!
The hotel is unfortunately a bit further out. With Uber it costs €20 to get to the city center, a 10-minute ride. A taxi cost us €25. The fares are a bit stupid. The bus is better for around three euros a day and also a 15-20-minute ride. There is a supermarket opposite the hotel, nice cafes and pubs. Unfortunately this part of the city is a bit dirty. But if that doesn't bother you, you'll find an affordable hotel with good service here.
GGuest UserThe hotel was not obvious for us - when we arrived, we drove around for about 10 minutes looking for a sign before parking on the wrong side of the road, and having to call for instructions. It was our fault, as the hotel tried contacting us earlier in the day but we did not have signal to take the call. Once we were instructed to the right place, it was super straightforward as Gianluca buzzed us in remotely, and upon verifying ID, let us into the unit and our bedroom. The lift in the building was super cool - for this experience alone I recommend staying in this hotel.
The room was charming. Our previous hotel was a suite so this felt a bit small, but it was homely all the same. The small downside was how warm it felt in the room. The air conditioning wouldn't work with the windows open, but it wasn't running very strong. At night, we preferred keeping the window open for some fresh air instead. The poster bed added a quaint and romantic feel to the room, and we were absolutely spoilt with a surprise of a bottle of Prosecco as a gift! Of course, the highlight of the whole place was the jacuzzi in the bathroom. As we both had to do some work and also were tired from a road trip, all of these little touches made the stay in this hotel incredibly luxurious for us. I really recommend this place for a romantic getaway or a honeymoon.
GGuest UserMy room was in the basement, and the first floor (seemed like maybe staff moving furniture around?) was very noisy after midnight. Lots of footsteps, talking, and the sound of moving furniture. It went on for hours both nights. I was also woken up at 8am my first day by someone knocking on my door. I assume it was the maid, but i can’t be sure. It was way too early to expect to be able to clean a room.
The bed was hard and creaky (there were three beds in my room, not sure why as I booked a room with a single queen bed) with no real blanket. It was fairly clean, though there was some hair in the sink and shower that did not belong to me. The shower was the biggest problem as it was a fairly narrow stall shower, and the drain needs to be cleaned out - the shower flooded after just a few minutes. The furniture is all very old, and the lighting in the room was incredibly dim. It did not feel inviting or look anything like the pictures in the listing.
The location is nearly an hour’s walk from Palermo Centrale and in another direction, nearly an hour’s walk from the Palazzo Butera. Unless you just want to visit the beach, it is not convenient at all. Even just buying water was a chore with the closest shop being about a quarter mile away.
The city tax listed on Trip is incorrect. You will need to pay three euros per day.
Overall, I would not stay here again.
