An excellent host. Gave great advice on what to see and where to eat. He also chatted about live in Palermo as an Inhabitant. The Room in a Palazzo is simply awesome. The building is ancient with big pompous entrance stairs and an impressive overall look and feel.

excellent pensione in good location in palermo. very central, ten mins walk from station and within easy distance of sights, bars, markets etc. two pleasant and comfortable rooms, for two and for three persons. manlio is a great host, makes a wonderful breakfast and is full of information about the ciry - bus and train times, museum opening, good tips for places to eat. I really enjoyed my stay and recommend la via delle biciclette without hesitation.

Manlio is a great BnB host - he's a good communicator, is quick to offer assistance and seasoned local advice and chatting with him over coffee + breakfast (presented with such care) is a very good way to start your day. The location of La vie delle biciclette is fabulous - so close to the central railway station, via Roma (with its supermarkets, ATMs etc) and Via Maqueda one of 2 main pedestrian streets in central Palermo which leads to Quatro Canti, which was at the centre of everything I planned to see in Palermo. My room was absolutely charming - a 4-poster bed, soft linen, large wardrobe and views over the rooftops to domes and church spires. The decor of the whole property is really charming and colourful. The narrow laneway is safe, if a little intimidating at first. My lasting impression is how special it was to stay in the family home where the host was born (quite a few years ago, I'm sure he won't mind admitting). This former palazzo still has so much character and history and was a wonderful base for my time in Palermo. Thank you Manlio. Your efforts and lovely home were most appreciated.

This was the perfect place for our exploration of Palermo. A lovely appartment in a palazzo with spacious courtyard and grand flights of stairs, and Manlio was the perfect host, giving us lots of advice about what to see and where to eat, while also serving us a delicious breakfast. Thank you!

Great location and Manlio is an excellent host. We had a large room with windows that opened to an interior balcony- providing light and natural air. The B&B is on the top floor (3) and access is only by lots of stairs. The street entry is well lit, and on a convenient side street between two main roads. We felt safe walking at all hours. Manlio offered sightseeing and eating recommendations, and made a dinner reservation for us one night. Breakfast was ample and the fresh fruit was most appreciated. English spoken.

Large comfortable room, with exclusive use of a lovely bathroom (though not en suite). The apartment is in a palazzo with all the quirk that suggests - full of interest, and lots of stairs... Our host was full of great suggestions for places to go and places to eat. Restaurant A'Cala and the Palazzo Butera were both great recommendations. He also brought fresh pastries (to die for) every morning for breakfast, and made fresh fruit salad!

A beautiful guest house right in the heart of Old Palermo. Clean, comfortable, and full of charm and character. Manlio was an excellent host. Very warm and welcoming. He gave us lots of helpful tips about places to visit, eat and drink. Prepared a delicious breakfast for us every day. Would definitely stay there again when visiting Palermo in future.
