This B&B is located on a pedestrian only street/area and is very quiet. Many restaurants on same and nearby blocks. Mini market and pharmacy no more than 3 blocks away. Short walk to major sights.

Staying at this B&B gives you the option of being within easy walking distance of the tourist herding zones without having to fully stay within them. It's easy to get access to the major bus lines (although the trams will be a hike), there's plenty of food in the area, you're right next to the harbor, and the room itself is very nicely rendered and maintained: the only real flaw is not having an outlet near the desk. It takes multiple keys to get in -- four in total -- but the owner has taken the unusually sensible step of numbering them for you. And if you can read Italian, there's a lovely little library section on the second level. This is not only a good central base of operations for Palermo, but also offers the option of retreat when the tourist portions turn too noisy. Would absolutely stay here again.

This was our last stay on our Sicily trip. We love to stay in bed and breakfasts as we always get a more genuine experience and understanding of the places we visit. All we can say is WOW. The place has everything: great location, good breakfast, comfortable bed, beautiful rooms, and an amazing host. The place also has a lift, which is great when you’ve walked around all day and are tired. Margie welcomed us warmly and made us feel like home. She showed us where to go, gave us tips, and was generally very friendly. Our stay would not have been the same without her. We will definitely come back next time we’re in Sicily.

Great place in the city center.Nice restaurants around.We were little late but when we arrived Germano was already waiting for us he explained everything to us and we got a lot of tips, So nice people and nice stay, we could leave our baggage little longer after check out really recommend

Wonderful little find. Central location. Lots of restaurants near by. Clean and tidy and very secure building. Great people that run the place. Quiet - not noisy. Within walking distance of all attractions within Palermo. Lovely decor - just great

The staff was amazing and the breakfast was great. Homemade pie with marmalade and pastries made fresh daily with a coffee that gets you going was a perfect way to start the day. The rooms were clean and spacious. There are plenty of things to do a short walk away. I hope to stay here again

Great location, easy walk to attractions & restaurants. Hosts were so helpful & assisted us with directions, as well as providing us with a simple but lovely breakfast. The bonus for us was that there was a lift… no stairs! Beautiful heritage decor, very clean. I would highly recommend staying here.

Palazzo Benso is a great 19th century historic building with the flavor of Palermo. Beautiful interior and fixtures. Comfortable bed, perfect for us. Breakfast is lovely with a nice variety of treats.
The hosts, Germano and Maria Giovanna, are very gracious and helpful with our Italian language learning process.
The location is in the heart of the city with nearby historic sites and great beauty. Interacting with people of Palermo was a wonderful experience.

This was everything I wanted for my stay in Palermo: A**ospheric, comfortable, conveniently located, and affordable. My room had a beautiful coffered ceiling and very elegant furnishings. I especially appreciated the company of Margie at breakfast. She was warmly welcoming and really wanted to help with directions, advice, or anything I needed. And I enjoyed a slice of her homemade chocolate cake at breakfast! The courtyard of the building may be less than attractive, but that really didn't affect my stay at the b&b at all. The entrance, the stairways and the elevator were clean and neat. I recommend this place and will return.
