We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is large but comfortable, a great pool and bar/restaurant. Our room was around the back from the pool and we had a beautiful view down to the port, town and across to La Maddalena Island. Easy free parking in the street outside (our room was near the gated parking entrance so we parked on the street right there, made it super easy to get our bags out when checking out). Room was spacious, had a sofa, small fridge and a hole in the wall safe. Bathroom was a good size, with a shower over the bath. Plenty of space for luggage, clothes and toiletries. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with different eggs cooked as you wanted, plus pancakes or waffles. Buffet included breads, meats, cheese, fruit and an assortment of cakes and pastries, plus coffee made fresh. Hotel has a shuttle down to the port or the beach which we took advantage of, they give you a voucher at the reception for lounges and an umbrella in the hotels dedicated beach area. Be aware it's a steep walk up from the town. Our booking also included a 30min massage which was lovely.

Breakfast was good however the hotel on the whole is dated and a bit run down. The private beach is a cordoned off area on the public beach where the hotel charge you for umbrellas and deck chairs and where you need to book transport to in advance. Rooms did not feel 4star quality. The hotel charged us city tax just as we left and then afterwards I read in my booking that all taxes were included.

An uncomfortable hotel with inferior food and signs of economy everywhere. No bowls for breakfast cereal, fruit cut into very small pieces, only small bread plates available, very large numbers at eating times,very noisy and often slow service

It was truly an amazing experience. The property is gorgeous. The view on the bay from the majority of areas is breathtaking. We stayed in a beautiful room with sea view and the photos on the website don’t do it justice, it was absolutely gorgeous. Restaurant perfect.

Lovely staff & nice hotel, nice pool area, you can get a free shuttle bus to the port/beach. The hotel is up the hill so get ready for a walk or rent a car. You can get a ferry from the port to Maddelena Island defo worth a day trip. This area great for a weekend length of stay. Beaches we went to nearby weren't amazing but perhaps we didn't find the right ones. Would really recommend the boat trip you can book via the hotel, great day out to islands, few stop offs including a couple of lovely beaches. We had b&b in the hotel & they were nice including a chef to cook fresh eggs/omelettes etc. Reception staff were great & very helpful.

If you are thinking about booking this hotel, just do it. It is really charming (in the best sense), in a beautiful location just outside the town with stunning views. Staff could not have been more helpful, with a lovely welcome on arrival. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on two occasions, the service and food was amazing. The view when we stepped outside the room (along the road) was breathtaking. Breakfast was amazing, with a really broad selection of gorgeous foods, especially pastries, as well as an omelette station. The pool area is really sheltered with comfortable beds. Palau itself is a lovely spot to visit, although very difficult to find somewhere to have lunch if you are not on the early side of lunch / do not have a reservation (and restaurant staff are quite rude in turning you away). The hotel was helpful in making dinner reservations for us which can be difficult to get at peak times. Highly recommended this hotel.

Myself and two friends stayed here in September, 2022. We each had a double room on the ground floor overlooking the pool. Very pleasant, rooms cleaned and beds changed daily. My two friends could hear people above and next door flushing the loo and walking above but I assume that’s to be expected to a point. Maintenance were prompt to fix anything which went wrong in the room and all staff were very reactive and friendly. The breakfast is a buffet with a large choice including hot egg dishes made to order. We had two fantastic waiters - shout out to Massimo who was very good but maybe got into trouble for talking to us too much. We appreciated it as he gave us pointers as where to go in the surrounding area. Giuseppe was also very nice and helpful.. The walk to town is not far but down quite steep hills so maybe not ideal for people with babies in buggies or people with walking issues. Ideally, unless in a party, you need a car here to explore other areas and beaches. In summary, a good location, nice hotel and very reasonably priced.
