Palani Hotels with Wi-Fi

This is a neat and well maintained budget hotel close the Palani bus-stand. It is in a small lane and hence parking is a bit difficult but available. The rooms were clean and hygienic. Only issue was the room size. It can accommodate just 2 adults - no more. We were a family of 2 adults and a kid and it was very difficult to squeeze in.

This hotel is very close to Palani Murugan temple, you cross the road and the way to Palani Murugan steps begin. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very courteous. The room had an iron board we just need to request for the iron box. They have an inhouse restaurant AC and Non-AC. I had opted for complimentary breakfast they had a decent spread. The reason I reduced one star is 1) no complimentary sealed water bottles provided, they provide RO bottle. 2) the kettle kept in my room was dirty and smelly. Seemed like someone boiled milk in it and did not clean. And the hotel did not bother to check before I checked in. 3) in the restaurant the staff isn’t attentive, you ask them spoon they won’t come soon, you will have to remind them. Idk why they dont keep spoons in the dining table.

I have stayed multiple times at the hotel over the last 10 - 12 years and have been satisfied with my previous stays. It is the first time I am visiting in the last 4 years and it was an average stay this time. The first thing apparent on entering the premises was that they appear to be understaffed now. The parking area was nearly full and there was no security person to help with parking my car. Later on, the same thing was visible at the restaurant, where just 2-3 people were struggling to manage the show. The room was comfortable, but showed its age, with the furniture and doors not coping well. The towels were old and worn out. The big advantage with the hotel is its location right next to the base of the hill, close to the walking path up the hill.

We had a very nice and comfortable stay at ponnis. They have maintained the property very well. It’s near to the hill base where we get shared battery car operated by the temple authorities. There is no restaurant in the hotel or nearby. But the battery car comes in handy to reach the near by restaurant. Overall a very convenient stay with courteous staff in ponnis. Will definitely go back.

Hotel sownthariyam is a decent stay providing bare minimum facilities needed for a pilgrimage tour. The room we opted had cupboard with hangers, attached washroom with wc and shower, balcony, dressing mirror, tv, ac. Room services, cleaning, hygiene was all up to the mark. As it was peak season, we faced issues in parking our car on sun-day as they allow hotel gowri shankar customers to park within the hotel premises. Other than this hiccup, rest all the facilities was provided well.

We had an overnight stay here while visiting the temple. The hotel is managed by an old gentleman who is also the owner. He is really very polite and efficient and gave us good directions on where to have our dinner etc. The staff is very nice and helpful. A nice clean hotel. They provide towels, soap etc as well. Liked our stay here

Value for money - very neat accommodation a near palani foot hill at a very reasonable price. Both mineral water and purified water provided. Lots of restaurants nearby. Also nearby to all admin office. However hot water is provided only few hours in the morning, no water heater in rooms

The hotel is in very close vicinity to the temple and is easily accessible. The rooms were great and comfortable, and the staff, whether the receptionist or the support staff, were helpful and kind. The parking space is great and there are many restaurants nearby too.
