This looked fabulous in the pictures, but we were disappointed. We had a ground floor comfort room. The decor was very drab, but the bed was super comfortable and the shower was excellent. The sliding door on the bathroom did not lock. The wardrobe seemed to be child size so that anything long draped along the bottom. This maybe because it was also suitable for disabled, but it didn't really work for us. Being on the ground floor meant that we had to keep the curtains closed as anyone walking past could see in. Breakfast on the first morning was fine, but the large tray was just plonked on our table, meaning we had to move our plates out of the way. The second morning was totally different. It was laid out buffet style with croissants, eggs, cheese, cereals, fruit etc - all very nice. Sadly on our last morning, the tray was again plonked on the table and we were given stale croissants! The pool is slightly away from the main building, down some sharp concrete steps, which is not ideal for children or anyone less able bodied. There was also only one sun umbrella - it was very hot during our stay, but if anyone else was using the pool, there was no shade if the umbrella was already in use. The location is great for Carcassonne, but I would not recommend staying here for more than one night. It all seems a bit tired and could do with an update. The saving grace was the fabulous restaurant next door, which is nothing to do with the Hotel. So I would describe this as an average Hotel - certainly not luxury and rather overpriced
