Borgo Colleoli Resort

This beautiful resort overlooks postcard quality views of the Tuscan hills. Two pools are available at opposite ends of the resort. Furnishings are both functional and beautiful. Air conditioning kept the room comfortable day and night even during Europe's record heat in August Bed and bedding were high quality and very comfortable. Ample cooking utensils made preparing occasional meals easy. Refrigerator and freezer were available. A beautiful pizzeria/restaurant is just a short walk outside the grounds. It affords gorgeous sunset views of the Tuscan villas, vineyards, and hills. A dream of a resort with good service and comfortable accommodations.

We were impressed by the hospitality and environmental amenities during our stay. Could not wait to come back so we can enjoy a little bit further more. I am wholeheartedly recommending this place in Tuscany, such a top notch vibes.

A truly excellent stay at Borgo di Colleoli Resort. From the time we checked in at reception to the time we check out at reception we had the most wonderful experience. This would be, without a doubt, a five star review, except for a detail that affects only a handful of us... those who choose not to drive to (or from the destination). So, if you're a competent driver of narrow European roads, then you'll not have any problems in finding things to do and places to visit. The resort is lovely, we were privileged to be *housed* in the most gorgeous apartment; albeit it didn't have a fully equipped kitchen which some people might associate with an apartment. It's certainly the largest and most accommodating *hotel room* I've ever stayed in. Our timing was off, in that we weren't there on the right days for any organised activities, but the staff bent over backwards to organise a truffle hunting expedition accompanied by a truffle influenced lunch), which was a great experience. Our Italian is limited to the most basic courtesies, but, thank goodness, the staff are capable, most of the time, of dealing with us single-language speaking foreigners, and we had friendly service from our wait persons. Just once, we had a "lost in translation" issue, but it was resolved. The food is good, the wines are fine, the weather threatened thunderstorms but they, thankfully, avoided us. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We were warmly greeted and generously treated for the week we stayed. Staff went to great lengths to organize activities and outings. Our units was well maintained and supplied. We also had lots of good times with other guests as well as resort staff and Karma people (Kirtana, Domenic and Danny). We'd go back in a heartbeat. It didn't hurt that the weather was superb.

Really wonderful holiday, the place is fabulous and the people so friendly. Choice of pools, and a lovely restaurant made for a great time.
