First if you take a shower in the room the water comes out side the toilet and it reaches to your bed and no one cleans you clean it alone and the hole toilet gets folded Regarding the way of communication with the reception there is no phone in the room and you need to go to them example I went at 9 pm I needed a taxi no one was there and I went to the hotel next to me and they ordered one The fridge in the room don’t work it’s plugged in and like a decoration heater to be honest There is no garbage in the room you need to create your own garbage like a bag There is dogs in general in the Country and most hotels have them roaming around but the issue her they have there own and the dog that they have is a Great Dan and is ferocious and he go and runs after people you even can’t have a normal breakfast

It’s a very nice hotel nice location. Food is great at the restaurant. The room is very clean but there was little hot water so we couldn’t fill the bathtub. The service needs to be enhanced, we arrived but no one there to take the luggage so I had to carry them. The cleaning lady came to our room an hour before the check out time and she put her cleaning stuff in our terrace. Jembe the pool boy was very friendly he showed us around the hotel and took some good photos for me and my wife.

The one positive thing is the property is nice. The service was lacking and value was definitely not worth it. We booked the house in the trees. The rooftop balcony was private for our room but people would wander up there continuously. There was a festival at the hotel when we stayed. We thought that was neat but in the night people woke us up going to the rooftop balcony again. We were also charged different prices at the same bar when we would order the same drinks. When we checked out the reception also charged me more than what was due. When I questioned it she said she thought the taxi was $45 not $35 that we had arranged. Although, even if it was $45 there was still a $5 discrepancy. That felt sketchy to me to have the fluctuating prices. A security guard from the festival also tried to charge us « interest » for going from our room to the bar too many times. The outdoor bathroom although we thought was beautiful had monkies visit (no fault of the hotel) but left monkey poop everywhere making showering etc less than desirable. There were also kids running all over the place saying their mom was the manager and how they get everything for free. I found that tacky and distasteful when you have guests paying a lot to be there. All in all I would not recommend or return.

I never experienced such horrible service. The manager Pocky is so so disrespectful and rude. I cannot imagine how the owner trusted the place to her. My 3 friends and myself booked 2 rooms and stayed 5 nights in total. Just to give you an overview of our experience: 1. We had to beg every day for clean bath and beach towels. The towels we received were either soaked wet or full of stains. 2. The first day there was one staff member j*rking himself at the beach. 3. The hotel was empty, there was no staff to be found, we always had to chase them or whatsapp. 4. We had only for 1 morning breakfast, we ordered at 7.45 and they told us breakfast is closing in 15 minutes, while we were waiting for the staff to order breakfast since 6.30 am. Regardless the breakfast was horrible and smelling very bad. And last but not least the bathroom was flooded every day. This is just a few of our comments to sum up our full experience. When we addressed our concerns to the manager she was so defensive and put the blame on “it is low season”, “this is Africa” and “you shouldn’t expect too much from African countries”. At some point we said, if we don’t get clean towels, you will not get the hotel money as this is a basic necessity. And voila she threatened us with local authorities. Missing the point of us desperately needing clean towels. Even tho the last dat we asked for late check out which she granted after all arguing and addressing this complains, she said not to expect clean towels. See attached screenshots.

I was particularly impressed by how environmentally conscious the entire place is. A bit old, could use some renovation, but the staff was amazing and the food was great.

I stayed in a great private villa right next to the pool. There are no sounds of traffic, only the birds, the breeze, and the occasional monkey scuttling through the trees.

The best choice I've ever made was to reserve a few kitesurfing lessons while visiting. They made it very convenient by helping to organize everything.

Through the resort, we participated in a local village tour, which helped us feel more connected to the place. It felt like we learned something important, so it wasn't just a vacation.
