What a great hotel. The rooms are lovely and clean and lots of added touches to the room which were great. Jo was amazing nothing too much trouble and Martin cooked the breakfast 5 stars to you it was great. We have stayed in Paignton a lot normally twice a year but this was the best ever.

This is a wonderful guest house, and Jo and Martin are such lovely people. Nothing is too much trouble. Nice touches with plenty of restocking of tea and coffee and also for families, plenty of things for the kids to do (and spare chargers are such as a nice touch). Had a continental and cooked breakfast, very nice. For me, I couldn't not score downwards even as a disabled guest, but those with poor mobility - will find this unsuitable as also even with the family room, the bathroom is on the small side... A recommendation would also be to get power shower heads, it would improve the pressure of the shower. But overall brilliant and highly recommended. Thank you.

What a wonderful surprise. This small gem was the best B&B stay we have experienced of all we have stayed in. From the moment we made our booking through to the end, communication was superb. We were arriving outside check-in and it was no trouble for them. The family room which was spacious, had everything we needed. Parking was easy to find and only a 5 minute walk away next to a pretty park; there is a space to unload luggage outside Cherwood if necessary. Location is perfect being only a skip from the beach and wonderful restaurants. Wish we could keep this little gem a secret.

Exceptionally clean & cosy room close to the beach & harbour for our short visit. Martin and Jo are very friendly which made us both feel very welcome. The full English breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked to order & piping hot. We would highly recommend the Cherwood Guest House as a lovely place to stay in Paignton.

This has been one of the most enjoyable B&B stays we have experienced. From making the booking to arrival and everything throughout our stay was a pleasure. Jo and Martin are the perfect hosts and the accommodation is spotlessly clean with modern rooms and facilities. The breakfast options are continental and full English upon request. The parking option was a great addition and only 150yds away. The location is also perfect being only 200yds from the sea front. Overall I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Having received a Buyagift voucher as a retirement present I searched and found this lovely Guest House. From booking Jo was helpful in sorting out the code on the voucher. We stayed for two nights and it was one of the best guest houses we’ve stayed in. Great place, comfortable and Martin and Jo are great people. We would not hesitate to return and recommend to our family and friends 10/10 for everything even had a car space a short walk from the house

Third visit to the Cherwood. Amazing place and breakfast is beautiful, the quality of the food is second to none and always cooked beautifully. Jo and Martin are truly top hosts, they obviously put their hearts and souls into making it a wonderful experience. Lots of lovely extra touches in the rooms. I have stayed in lots of guest houses, but, this is truly up with the best and I would recommend it 100% Thank you Jo and Martin. Best Wishes Pauline and Wayne

We had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse as a family of four. The family room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it perfect for us. Breakfast was absolutely amazing with a wide variety of delicious options that catered to everyone. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. We highly recommend this guesthouse for a cozy, family-friendly stay!
