Pai My Way Hostel

Pai City Center
Mrs. Kung and her hostel is a gem in Pai. Conveniently located in the city centre, offers quiet and relaxed stay. Hostel has two big rooms all together and only two bathrooms. As I was alone, that wasn't an issue at all. Please note the beds are quite hard (which I like). There is enough storage place and lockers for any valuables. Just what the good hostel requires. Hostel has a little cafe which was closed at the time (COVID) but it's a comfortable place if you need to do some work. And also a very nice and spacious garden. Mrs. Kung will help you with anything you need so don't be afraid to ask.

I have to say that if it hadn’t been so noisy at night and into early morning (seemingly from people upstairs - perhaps either staff quarters or hostel style bunk bed rooms) then we would have rated this as a 4. We were on the first floor (224). The room was spacious and the polished concrete had been done in a stylised deliberate manner to achieve a look rather than purely as a cheap option. As reported before, the shower pressure and temperature are fantastic. Rooms were kept clean, had beds made up and where necessary as I had “bled slightly from a scooter wound” bedding changed, coffee and water were replenished daily. Air con and fan worked great and the bed linen was very good. From the first floor rooms you have a nice view over the rooftops and out towards the hills and can see the White Buddha. Although not great at English, the staff were efficient and friendly enough although we only saw them at check in and check out. I would say the location is very good. It is 50 metres from “walking street” where there is a good night market and a big range of bars and restaurants, some with live music. We would love to recommend this place but you have to be aware there could be some noise at night.

I booked two rooms for two nights in this hotel. One - for me and my husband. Another - for our friend. First off all this hotel is very beautiful. Also - quiet (to compare with others in Pai). It is very close to city center. Rooms are very cozy with all the things you need. Breakfast is very tasty and you can choose what to eat. Staff is friendly and helpful.

It was comfortable. I stayed in a dormitory after staying in a capsule. I didn't feel pressured and could sleep well with the curtains closed. It didn't bother me that there was a mix of men and women. There were two outlets so I was able to charge my computer.

Stayed in Pai for two nights. The location of the hotel is good, not far from the station and the night market. We just got off and walked over. Even the front desk does not speak a single Chinese, but it does not affect English communication. Rented motorcycles can be stored in the hotel. Breakfast is very simple, they think you need to make on-site omelets. We stayed during the National Day. We didn't see any Chinese, there were not many guests, and we were all European and American.
