Clarion Inn Page - Lake Powell

The hotel environment is average, but the location is OK, more than 10 kilometers away from Antelope Valley, 20 minutes by car! There is a BBQ opposite the hotel that tastes good! But the breakfast is not bad, the breakfast is better in the motel I have stayed in, free parking! As a transitional one night hotel is still possible!

One of the newer hotels in Page, at least based on Google maps, I booked it primarily for the indoor pool to beat the desert heat. I was a bit disappointed it was so small, especially when there was a couple acting like 7 year olds trying to playfully drown each other. The reason for my lower than excellent review for such a new hotel was the price. We booked direct because of their so-called ”Price Match Guarantee” but after we arrived we saw on a third-party site, they were offering a lower rate we called their CS about it. (Their website has a claims that only works before you book or 24 hours after you booked with them) They said they will not do a price adjustment because that is a third party. So we naturally asked, why bother booking with your site/club then? They replied ”points for future stays.” I'm sure that customer service person is like most of us with real jobs - we can't spend 2 months of the year staying at fancy hotels, at most 2 weekends, there's no way we'll ever level-up to diamond status, so their argument rings very hollow. The adjustment was not unreasonable ($200 a night for holiday vs $153). It all comes down to commissionable rates - and it was obvious Hilton wanted to keep that as profit. Back to the hotel, their breakfast did not have scrambled eggs that day, unlike some lesser chains I have stayed at. There were the usual hot breakfast offerings : French toast, hard boiled eggs, cereal. There was free coffee 24/7 which was nice. Their app seems advanced in that you can pick your own room, and get a digital key, but the interface could use some work, as the app assigned us the same room the front desk assigned us, whereas all our other choices were two beds - which we did not ask for. Their business center was down the day of, but I did not know for how long. We had an issue with upstairs, possibly kids, jumping up and down repeatedly for almost two hours, despite complaining to the front desk, they were not ameliorate this until bed time - which to me means the walls are not soundproofed.

A very lovely stay. Huge clean rooms with large and comfortable king bed, separate living room area, microwave and coffee machine in the room. There is a 24hour tea coffee making station at the lobby as well with takeaway paper cups. Breakfast was simple but good, including waffles, bagels, toasts, eggs, sausages, cereal, yogurt, sauces and spread. Hot drinks and juices were served.
Courtyard Page at Lake Powell

My family and I had been driving all day long when we arrive at Courtyard Page Lake Powell close to midnight to check in ( reservation made 2 months prior). We are all exhausted and our kids asleep in the car. We are then informed they overbooked our room and had no room for us. No call or notification to let us know. They then called “ a local hotel” to provide us a similar room at no charge. The hotel was 20 min away and required a park pass. Many other hotels within 5 minutes were around. We get to this hotel and it’s disgusting ( water not draining, door wouldn’t lock, horrible smell). We had no choice but to stay there overnight and left early morning. We called Jeremy the manager multiple times and left messages to be reimbursed for the park pass as we had no intention staying at the park, our calls were Ignored. Finally getting through to him trough e mail, he stated he wouldn’t reimburse us for the park pass because they hotel was at no charge. Well you should pay for our disgusting room, YOU OVERBOOKED OUR ORIGINAL ROOM AND DIDNT TELL US!! We have small kids with us. The manger JEREMY L. BUTTS is a poor excuse for a manager!!! STAY AWAY. Will be going up the chain to escalate this. Didn’t even get an apology as if we were at fault. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Hyatt Place Page Lake Powell

I have finally found the perfectly designed hotel room! Not kidding. Hyatt really did design an amazing hotel room. All the gripes over the years I've had with poorly thought out hotel rooms has stopped with Hyatt Place. Whenever we travel after this, we're going to be looking for Hyatt Place locations. What a great room - great bed with nightstands with easy access plugs and great reading lights. The living room has an awesome L shaped couch with a comfy ottoman for putting your feet up to watch TV. There is a room divider between the bed and living area so that someone can be up reading and not bother someone in bed. There is a mini fridge and plenty of desk space . I love all the lamps in the room with easy on/off toggle switches. The bathroom is awesome - tons of counter space, which is nice for women travelers who have a lot of products. A real shower door! That's a plus. We've stayed in too many hotels that have open, trendy showers where you can't get warm in the shower. Thank you for a real door on the bathroom and great lighting. There's two switches in the bathroom, one being a lower brightness light that comes on, which is nice when you get up in the middle of the night. Love the big shelf underneath the bathroom sink for stashing your stuff. PLUS there is a great bar/dining area downstairs with AWESOME staff - we went down every afternoon or evening and hung out and had drinks and dinner. We didn't want to even leave this place to go into town to eat. Great menu - awesome patio with fire pits, comfy furniture and beautiful sunsets. Lots of international travelers made it interesting. LOVE THIS PLACE! Thanks to all the great staff for a perfect stay. Thank you, Hyatt!
