What abeautiful hotel full of charcter. The friendliness the staff throughout my stay was exceptional.. from reception, on arrival and in the morning, to the chef and anyone I met inbetween. The room large and comfortable with bath and piping hot water. The breakfast was well worth it at €12 and was very good quality. Plenty parking to the rear of the hotel.. tip: Dont go up the main street.. take Dublin Rd. and parking is on left just after the Landmark Hotel. Support non-chain hotels and visit Bush Hotel

Recently stayed for a hen party and was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is an old hotel so don’t expect a five star but they have done everything they can to make it a great place to stay! It is located right in the middle of town so everywhere is walking distance! All of the staff from reception, to bar, to restaurant were super friendly and very helpful! The room itself was newly painted and very clean! The shower is in the bath like many old hotels but it was sparkling clean which is not easy in an old hotel like this. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were great, good choice and big portions! big shout out to Dave the bar Man and the restaurant manager who couldn’t do enough for us! Well done for getting the hotel open and up to standard again, it adds greatly to the town and the hen and stag parties which bring huge revenue to the area!

We visited the hotel on Friday 26th July 2024 and ordered 2 roast beef dinners the meal was terrible the potatoes were reheated and the carrots were black, i said it to the girl behind the bar counter and she said she would tell the chef. i would never recommend this hotel or every go into again for food

Called in for lunch..we're told to order quickly as they stopped at 4.30 and it was around that time. So we ordered the Killybegs fish and chips. It arrived out promptly however it certainly wasn't Killybegs fresh fish..It wasn't cooked properly and tested of nothing only cooking oil..disgusting to say the least..and while I was offered an apology I wasn't given a refund or reduced price..only told the manager wasn't there and they would let him know....

This is a lovely old fashioned hotel. Right in the heart of Carrick on Shannon. Rooms are immaculately clean, warm & spacious! Still & sparkling water left out each day! Sheets changed every day! Biscuits left out every day! Staff are so friendly, nothing they couldn't do to help or make your stay better! Will always stay in The Bush Hotel when we are in Carrick!

This hotel is old and quirky but plenty of interesting artifacts and old historic photographs. Reception area is small and beside front door so got chilly when we were waiting for our room to be ready. To be fair our room was spacious with double and single bed . Room very clean . Breakfast very good and service was great . Reception staff most helpful and location is in middle of town. Bit expensive for 2 nights with no evening meal included.

Went for a 3 course meal with 17 women to celebrate my mans 80th Birthday. We were told that the roast of the day was Turkey and Ham, 3 of the group opted for this and they brought out roast beef as the special wasn't Turkey and Ham as we were told. The beef that they brought out was tainted and was returned and taken back with no hesitation from staff. Then when clearing away the dishes the waiter dropped 4 plates of leftover food on my daughter and myself. When we called the manager he wasn't aware that this happened. He took the price of 3/4 drinks off our bill and thought that was great, we had to ask he didn't offer it.

We stayed in the Bush Hotel in Carrick for my sister's hen party last weekend. I cannot overstate how helpful the hotel staff were in the lead up to the hen. It was quite a difficult time to organize a hen around Covid and restrictions but the staff were so accommodating any time I had to make any changes. On the day itself, every staff member we met from reception to the bar & restaurant and all in between were so friendly and welcoming, all of the girls were commenting on it. The hotel itself was immaculately clean and was so cosy and full of history. Perfectly located in the heart of Carrick-on-Shannon it really is the perfect place to stay and I will definitely be back

We attended a family funeral lunch on 10 Feb, about 40 people. The lunch was substantial and delicious, with a quick service that was second-to-none. So welcome also was the friendly attention of the staff. We were impressed with the sensitive restoration of this traditional hotel, set in a main street of character in a delightful town.
