Sunset Inn Pacific Grove Reviews

This hotel is nice. It has a yard and consists of 5 houses, except for Building No. 5, which are bungalows. The room was a good size with a fireplace. The location is very good, on the Monterey Peninsula, it only takes about 8 minutes to drive to the 17 mile driver. The breakfast is simple, pick it up at the front desk and take it to the room.

The room is small...the sound insulation is poor...the service attitude is not bad

Beautiful Pebble Beach, a great place to watch the sea

The hotel was nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was nice. It was very close to the beach so we walked and sat on a bench and watched the sunset. Parking was right by the door. The downside was that the room was very small so we had to put the suitcases on the bed every time we want to get something. The breakfast was not even a breakfast. Just some toasts and sweets. Coffee on the lobby was tasting really bad. In general it was a good stay for a night, very close to 17 mile drive and Monterey but you need a car.

The place was well maintained, beautiful, loved the fireplace, the amenities, location, cleanliness. Overall a beautiful and comfortable stay.

Bhadi was the best mgr ever and made us feel at home. Property was clean, up to date, comfortable beds and super quiet. Best sleep and stay at a hotel ever. Great breakfast and hospitality.

It was fantastic. The cleanest place I've ever stayed. Host was incredibly gracious and helpful. Not one single flaw.

The Sunset Inn is very nice, quaint place. I had a nice room in the back with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The room was nice, but a little bit quirky. The fireplace made a couple loud thumping noises when you turn it on. The staff seemed very nice and personable. Breakfast is limited. The price of hotel seemed about double some others in the area…so I was expecting more or better. For the price it isn’t much better than others…I’ve stayed in many Pacific Grove hotels before. Probably would choose a cheaper option in the future.

Excellent Inn, just a short walk from the ocean. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Our room had a nice gas fireplace. They can even rent you bicycle. Breakfast was sufficient.

The check in person (male) (PM) was friendly and very hospitable. However, the checkout person (AM) was inconvenienced by our presence, very curt and disrespectful. She rather spend time speaking on the phone talking to her friend, ignoring customers, no eye contact, even when asked a direct question. We felt unwelcomed, as if we were a 'burden'. We will NOT stay at this property again because of her.

If your looking for a place to stay that’s quiet, friendly, clean, coastline is within walking distance, state parks are within driving distance, great places to eat, this is the place for you! From the moment you check in to the moment you leave you are treated as a special guest. If I’m ever back in the area I will stay at Sunset Inn.

This a very nice place to stay. The welcoming and courteous staff, amd ethe trip that much more enjoyable. Also, it is very close to rhe beach, easily within walkkng distance to catch a sunset, should you care to do so!

We love the Sunset Inn. The staff is so kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and well decorated. Beautiful grounds. Close walk to the spectacular ocean shore!
