Cheap and cozy place in Monterey. It was self checkin and the remote front desk was very patient and friendly. The room and the entire house are vintage in a good looking way, which is also very suitable to take pictures.

Trampled! I arrived at this hotel around 8:00 pm and the door was locked and no one was there! There is only a phone at the door, and a female waiter will confirm your order number and name with you on the phone. Then they ask you for your credit card number! The English is Curry English, and the voice on the phone is so low that I can’t hear clearly. She doesn't care about your mood at the moment, she just wants your credit card number. It's really bad! It's a Bed&Breakfast without reception. Two old houses were converted into B&Bs. Make your own brand and call it inn! The original living room on the first floor of the house was transformed into my room. The heating stove was fake and I relied on that little oil heater for heating! It's so cold, the door is just a glass door, and the light can't block the cold air! An unprofessional B&B, not recommended! The parking lot is full and there is no space!

The bed was soft! It is within walking distance of the aquarium! Just down the hill is a good tea and coffee spot. Highly recommended. The parking is very tight! So worth the stay

I loved it here! Its historic, beautiful, and comfortable. I felt like i was staying in someones home. Checkin was easy and the daily service was awesome. I will definitely stay again!

Quaint and cute on a budget this is it.
Very affordable, very comfy, kinda homie. And just Nice.
Absolutely loved it for the adorable rooms. It was a little cold but the heater and fire place worked well.
Can't wait to visit again and stay longer

Adorable house with Victorian charm, fireplace and very comfortable bed. Bathroom had issues with water faucets, shower and soap dispensers. Parking lot was VERY hard to get in and out of tiny spaces without bumping other cars. Very strange not having any sort of host or reception. Felt more like a youth hostel with a shared fridge and microwave.

Checkin is very impersonal and over the phone (I’m assuming it’s outsourced overseas). Place is okay. Has bare basic amenities. Wifi didn’t work and the tech support number was no help. Not impressed. Basically just another soulless, streamlined lodging cash cow. Might as well have just stayed at a motel.

We found, reserved, paid for, and checked in all at midnight. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Such a nice property and we even had a view of Monterey Bay from our window! This was a great value but I suspect the price increases substantially during peak season.
