The owner has a very bad attitude. I'm a tour guide coming to pick up tourists. The two owners are standing in the lobby, not at the front desk. I intend to go to the front desk and ask to pick up guests. But the owner of this home scolded me "don't you have a mouth to ask? When you enter someone's house, you have to know how to open your mouth to ask". I also gently said "So sorry, I was going to the reception to ask to welcome guests, I thought you were guests here". After that, she still scolded me. I'm not really stay here, but the attitude is so bad. I would not recommend for anyone

We heard about this place and service from a fellow traveler and we were not disappointed. Huyền delivered complete care from feeding us when we arrived late at night to arranging for a four day tour of the Ha Giang loop for four of us traveling together to even getting medicine for a skin infection. She was available at any time of the day or night for our driver if anything was needed. The homestays that she arranged were clearly chosen more for their cultural significance and supporting local people than for an expensive budget experience. Our driver, Công, was super friendly and helpful and did well with Google translate since he did not speak very much English. If you do this route, we highly recommend walking the entire path trail at the white cliffs. It takes a bit of fitness, but the views cannot be beat.

We spent 4 days with the Historic Hotel in Ha Giang and had a wonderful and memorable experience! They provided the complete package, from transportation to and from the airport, lodging, meals and two days of guided tours (via car) through the Unesco Global Geopark. The affable and knowledgable owners joined us for excellent meals and stimulating conversations around the wood fire grill and the hotpot (btw wife speaks flawless English). Their friendly tour guide drove us to see several cultural sites through the beautiful and stunning mountains. Entire trip well planned and executed.

Stayed in this hotel one night before and one night after Ha Giang loop tour. Room was fine and clean. Also, rented car with driver/tour guide (Cong) for 4 days loop tour via this hotel. Cong is a gentleman, knows about the nice places to see in Ha Giang, and drives safely. Had a good time!

Ha Giang Historic House and the family are the absolute best!!! Huyěn and her daughter are so professional and friendly. We went to try the famous pizza and pancake and were NOT disappointed. We left with full bellies and an entir Ha Giang Loop trip organized and booked. We hired a car and driver, Tuyên. She promised us we wouod adore him and we absolutely did!!!! Of our 5 month trip, we cannot imagine it getting any better than our 6 glorious, fun filled days with him. I injured myself when we arrived back to the guest house and the way Huyĕn took care of my needs and took me to the hospital was amazing. I will be forever grateful for her care and attention. It was a lot of extra work for her and she was so generous. THANK YOU!!!! The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spotless and if the timing works then we highly recommend the family dinners. The are fun, informative and delicious!!!! We absolutely hope to come back one day.

Ha Giang is located close to the northern border of Vietnam and the town itself is quite small. The lovely hotel is located a bit away from Ha Giang town centre but the 3 floor property is excellent nestled below a karst hill. The room was very comfortable with ample use of local wood. No proper food joints around, so the restaurant in the hotel is the only alternative. Had pizza and spaghetti, which were good, but a tad expensive. We were able to converse well with the owner Hua Thu who spoke English pretty well. She was very nice & helpful and the Hotel’s restaurant has a large assortment of local agri products like honey, seeds, dried fruits etc as well as local handicrafts in display for sale. Also worth seeing are the pottery items and large jars which has local wines. We had a very comfortable stay in this hotel.

We found a gem of a place to stay. The setting was perfect… a little back from the road so not noisy. Garden, short hiking trail into the mountain side. Their two small dogs came with us for that walk. Cool eating area. We loved Huyen and her family. I think we adopted them or they adopted us! Played volleyball with them. They set us up with motorbikes for the iconic tour route. It was apparently busy where we were heading so we got lots of great help from Huyen! We would have been up a creek without a paddle without her! Needless to say we have kept in touch passing photos back and forth. Huyen also had interesting side hobbies to be appreciated…. Tea, wine. Some for purchase, some not.

The owners of this cozy hotel are outstanding in their hospitality. They are so lovely and have taken pride in their hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and the property is private and secluded. The owner makes the BEST pizza! This place is excellent value. You won’t be disappointed.
