"Most definitely a 5* stay. Very clean hotel with amazing facilities. Of course you are booking due to being a car fanatic - you will not be disappointed. Every part of the hotel is designed around vehicles and is very well thought out. They have a shinjuku expressway bus that comes right outside the hotel to shinjuku which is very handy if you have travelled via public transport. Views from the hotel are amazing. Gym is open 24 hours which is was great. Everything felt new. Interior design was very classy and modern."

My room was clean, well-appointed, and designed with a minimalist aesthetic that made it feel both calming and functional. The large windows made the most of the surrounding nature, and I appreciated the attention to detail in both the amenities and layout. One of the highlights was the onsen. It was such a treat to relax in the hot spring baths while gazing out at Mt. Fuji—an experience that felt both peaceful and luxurious. The onsen facilities were clean, well-maintained, and never overly crowded. The hotel is also conveniently connected to the Gotemba Premium Outlets, making it easy to enjoy a bit of shopping or grab a bite without venturing far. Despite this proximity, the hotel maintains a very tranquil atmosphere, which I really appreciated. Overall, Hotel Clad is a perfect base for anyone looking to explore the Fuji area in comfort. Whether you’re there to hike, shop, or simply take in the views, it delivers a serene, scenic, and satisfying stay."

"Business style room that is ok sized for the price u pay. Staff was helpful to move our items up to our room prior to check in. They offer an eco friendly room cleaning option, and if selected, you will receive tokens for a free can of beer. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants and easily accessible by car. There is free onsen but I didn't manage to try"

"Not recommended! This place is in the middle of nowhere and there is no shop nearby. You can only walk or take a taxi to go out. There is only a McDonald's and a convenience store for food within a 10-minute walk, and then it is a rural area. It feels like you can't get away even if you have wings. There is also a time limit to go to Tokyo, and there is no car whenever you want. It was a terrible experience! Every minute I'm here, I want to go back to Tokyo😭It's too painful🥹The so-called hot spring is just a small pool... (help"

"I booked a room for a night to stay before my early morning Mt Fuji climb. The staff were excellent, helped me with taxi booking and also held my bag the next day for me to retrieve it after my climb. Two nice surprises: free dinner of curry rice or noodles is provided, also there is a Men's bath (like an onsen) onsite, which the staff let me use after my climb to clean up. There is also a large supermarket nearby for supplies."

"The best point is that the pot (kettle) is a large metal cup type. It has a shape that is easy to wash and there is no worry that it is not washed and it was clean and really helpful. Breakfast was good to drink on the coffee server. Easy to get to Gotemba station and convenience stores are nearby, so the location is great. For some reason, there was a midnight snack with the service, and I didn't have it this time, but it's the best. Some people should note that the lighting in the room was orange (the washroom was white), and the joint bathing place and dressing room were small."
