"The location is first class and the service is very good, but the old house does not have an elevator.
Relying on the core commercial street, extremely convenient at the same time, it is a bit noisy at night.
No air conditioning, no problem with the current temperature. The ventilation in the bathroom needs to be improved."
"I was in the Red Room which had the most fabulous view over Jesus College. The set up worked really well. The bathroom was a bit mouldy in some areas and the arrival instructions were confusing. Worth all that to get the view and location."

"This is a hotel converted from an old castle prison. It is very innovative. There are two types of rooms. One is a room converted from two cells, and the other is a normal room. The window of the room converted from the cell is a small upper window like in the prison. The normal room I booked has a balcony. It depends on everyone's preference. The room has a coffee machine and a towel heating rod. The shower room is small and the button area is large, but it takes some skills to press it. The first time I pressed it for a long time, it didn't trigger. The air conditioning in my room was slightly insufficient, but the hotel service staff actively solved the problem. The overall service was very warm and thoughtful, sharing town maps and so on, so despite the slight inconvenience, I still like the style and service of this hotel. The breakfast is also good, and the black pudding is awesome. In addition, some rooms have stairs in addition to the elevator. If you have large luggage, you can try to contact the hotel to use the small elevator, as shown in the last picture"
"It’s a little way out of the centre but there are buses passing by every couple of minutes. It’s comfortable well appointed the walls are a little thin but it’s ok. You also have to go up a flight of stairs."
"The hotel is a little bit away from downtown Oxford. If you are driving, you can choose here. Free parking, breakfast is good, clean and hygienic, good service attitude"
"The room is OK, there is a sign telling us that the toilet paper is better at the front desk! Sanitation cleaning is a bit fooled! Other equipment is complete!"
"The room is bigger than the sports scene, clean, warm, with a conversion plug, the staff is warm and thoughtful, ask the airport route to help me check the computer and print a piece of paper, especially good"
"This hotel is very close to the bus station. We went to Bicester, so it is very convenient to stay here. The only bad thing is the garbage station next to the hotel. It is a bit noisy at night, the front desk service is very good, help with luggage, and it is very warm. Temporary check-in is a good choice for catching a train or catching a car!"
"Why give full marks, first we arrived, there are staff enthusiastically help us with luggage, we live on the 3rd floor, the room is large up and down, the front desk staff is very warm to help us park, breakfast is free and paid, pay attention, If you don’t choose breakfast on the order, don’t be afraid. He also has breakfast for everyone. It is bread ham cheese milk coffee tea juice. This is free. The location is very convenient. It takes 8 minutes to walk to Christ College, which is the Harry Potter Magic Canteen. Go to the Ashmolean Museum within 15 minutes. Super convenient! The picture is a two-point paid breakfast, 13 yuan."

WWil~MCYHaving stayed at the Holiday Inn Oxford on three separate occasions now, I can wholeheartedly say it is a truly outstanding hotel and has become my firm favourite whenever I visit the area. Each stay has been consistently excellent, exceeding my expectations every time.
From the moment you walk in, the check-in process is always smooth, efficient, and handled by genuinely friendly and welcoming staff. They make you feel valued right from the start.
The rooms are consistently spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed. The beds are incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing a great night's sleep after a busy day exploring Oxford or working. The bathrooms are modern and clean, and the overall room maintenance is clearly a high priority. I've always found the rooms to be quiet, providing a peaceful environment.
What truly sets this Holiday Inn apart, in my experience, is the exceptional level of service across the board. Every staff member I've encountered, from the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant team, has been professional, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. They consistently go the extra mile to ensure guests have a pleasant stay.
The hotel's facilities are great, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of tasty options to start the day right. The location is also very convenient, offering easy access without the stress of navigating the very centre of Oxford, especially if you are driving.
Based on my repeated positive experiences, I cannot recommend the Holiday Inn Oxford highly enough. It offers reliable comfort, fantastic service, and great value. It's clear they take pride in their hotel and their guests' satisfaction. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else on my future trips to Oxford!
GGuest UserI like the fact that the bus stops are close by, it can be very handy after a long day walking trip inaide the city center, plus the buses are coming also very frequently. Although I haven't seen any lift, our room was easy to find, without many stairs. The stuff are friendly and welcoming. I was amazed the Hotel also got a swimming pool and a gym, however we didn't stayed long enough to use those facilities as well. The room was also clean, with many tea selection and a little fridge underneath the table.
On the contrary, I'm very satisfied with the service.
PPHYO PHYO WAI YANG YINGWe absolutely enjoyed our 3 days 2 nights stay at the graduate hotel at Oxford. We booked 2 King room bedrooms for me&my husband & my son for 2 nights. I am a little worry about 24m2 size of the bedroom might be too small for us but upon arrival and check-in, the room is just nice, very cozy and warm and very Brtish atmosphere. The arrival hall is really pleasant, they have a small cozy bar for good whisky cider and some snacks. My husband & I enjoyed our drinks at the bar, we tried their British draught cider. For the breakfast, they reserve at very beautifully designed Alica restaurant just next to the reception. Very decent English buffet. Not too crowded and very enjoyable morning breakfast.
The bed, pillow blankets are super comfortable and we had uninterrupted sleep throughout the night. The room temperature is just nice we set at 19-22 degrees.
The bathroom is not spacious but just nice for 1 person. However the bathroom floor is alittle cold as the hotel did not provide slipper. The amenities are decent shampoo/bath gel/conditioner big bottle sizes with small soap though we prefer hand gel and hand lotion as it is cold weather.
The room has a spacious corner for closet and luggage, that is very good for my husband and I.
However there's only 1 chair for reading and the light/lamp are a little dim maybe we can call it cozy [ Brtish style ].
Pros-
Fabulous location to all tourist attractions [ 5 - 10 mins walk ]
Pros-
Fabulous hotel with good hardware & software
Pros-
Restaurants & bar that open late and offer food and drinks late till 10pm
Pros-
Daily Housekeeping is very good
Pros-
Hotel offers on-site car parking service by the conceige at £48/per night , we paid £96 for 2 nights car parking, same price as London Cheval
Pros-
They only charge £1 for security deposit that's very unusual but we total appreciate it.
100% Happy & Satisfied with the stay
YYin_007Great location in the city center of Oxford. You can get everywhere by walk and enjoy the sightseeing.
The staff are amazing and always help you at any time.
Can’t wait to be back there!
AAnonymous UserIt is near Oxford University, and the library is only a 10-minute walk away. The hotel room is small, the bathroom is also small, and the hotel signal is not good. Considering the parking problem in Oxford, I chose a hotel with a parking lot and paid 10 pounds for parking. However, there was no parking space after paying the fee. I was not allowed to park until 8 o'clock in the morning. All passengers were informed that they must leave before 11 o'clock in the morning. In fact, you can park on the roadside from 6:30 pm to 8 am, plus you can park for free for 3 hours during the day, which is almost enough. The hotel charges are very unreasonable!
GGuest UserThis is a rooftop room @Although the room is small, it has everything and is clean and tidy... However, you need to carry your big suitcase up two narrow stairs... Breakfast is served in different time periodsಠ_ಠBecause the 22 rooms in the three-story building can accommodate fewer people at the same time. It takes 15 minutes to get to the center of Oxford by bus. Be sure to leave enough time, as the bus runs very slowly🥴
AAnonymous UserNice hotel. Staff are cordial but the amenities need to be reviewed and made up to date. No landline to ring the reception for any service needed, had to go all the way downstairs to the reception to make a complaint on a toilet that’s refused to flush. Shower not working, couldn’t flush the toilet until I applied much pressure on the flush handle. Would’ve been great if the amenities are up to date (for the lack of a better word).
GGuest UserThe talkhouse was a really homely accommodation right outside of Oxford. The room was exactly like the pictures. The staff were incredibly helpful and I must say the showers is probably one of the best I’ve had in the uk. (Proper water pressure, temperature and drainage so I’m not swimming in my own filth). Also have a drink or dinner at the pub, it’s seems to be a popular favourite amongst the locals as well. One thing to note for light sleepers, the rooms are side by side so you might hear your neighbours & it is right by the road so you’ll be able to hear vehicles at busier times.
KKHN31We stayed here twice for our trip oxford > london > Oxford. First booking was a double room and second was twin room. Those who looking to stay alone or travel in couple, highly recommend to go for twin room as the twin room is definitely more spacious than the double room. Nonetheless, you still won’t have enough space to open your luggages on the floor. Cleanliness was good, they lent you hair dryer but the toilet amenities is lacking. Location is convenient as there’s bus to take u to city center at 2 pound each way or you could walk for 40 mins to the city too. Affordable and ok stay but I’d prefer to stay in city center the next time.
AABCD1234-8This is my second time staying at the hotel. This time the hotel upgraded the front desk and the room for me. I still like the atmosphere here, the excellent location, the quiet environment, the elegant service, some facilities need to be upgraded, especially the air conditioner and bedding, but overall it is still worth staying. The hotel provides mineral water and cola drinks. Slippers can be asked for at the front desk.
