Hot spring Hotels in Owani

Let's talk about the advantages first♥️: The room is comfortable, and there is thick snow in the forest outside the window. The food is great, especially the kaiseki cuisine in the evening; the shamisen performance after the meal is also very local. The main ingredient of the Owani Onsen♨️ is sulfate spring, which makes the skin smooth for several days after washing. Disadvantages🩶: This Hoshino should be rebuilt on the basis of the original old hot spring hotel. The renovation is not thorough, so the overall style is a bit old, especially the lobby furnishings and room corridors. Due to the heavy snow in Aomori, the Ou Main Line has been suspended for many days (including the JR Express we were supposed to take), so we had to take the express bus🚌 from Morioka. We arrived at Owani at noon, and we couldn't get a taxi🚕 because of the heavy snow❄️. In this case, the hotel did not give us any other suggestions or help except to say that the shuttle bus would be available after 3pm. Also, when we arrived at the hotel and communicated in advance about the pick-up arrangements for the next day, there was not much flexibility. The service experience in this regard was slightly poor.

The hot spring was quite small than the picture, and the open-air bath was covered and surrounded and there was no open feeling. The blanket provided in the room was quite smelly. I enjoyed the wine tasting.

I went on a trip with my 20-something child and my elderly mother. I had forgotten to make a reservation for a pick-up from the station, but there was someone there, so I asked and they gladly agreed. The hot spring had a large bath and an open-air bath, and the water temperature was just right. There was also a sauna. The changing room was also clean. The meal plan included one night and two meals, and the amount of fish, wild vegetables, bamboo shoots and maitake mushrooms in a pot, tempura, etc. was so large that it was almost impossible to finish, and I was very satisfied. Breakfast was not a buffet, but Japanese food. There was no meat, so the 20-something child seemed a little disappointed. I'm sure there was meat at the restaurant outside the plan. Most of the guests were middle-aged to elderly, and we were the only young guests. I was satisfied, but overall, I got the impression that it was a hot spring for the elderly, including the food and location.
