Made reservation through *******; called 48 hours before originsl check in date and asked to change date to one day prior. ******* called hotel to ger approval and hotel gave it - received updated itinerary, etc.
Check in on new, earlier date, front desk staff insisted the changes i made were not valid and that ******* had made an error by "not putting changes in their system", but with confirmation emails and new itineraries with the new date, clearly ******* did make those changes. Staff claimed ******* didnt call front desk, and then changed her story when I pointed out that i had been on the phone and heard ******* talking to the hotel - i heard them typing and say to ******* changes were "all set". Then stadf claimed she was the one who had received the call about changes that i had heard talking to *******, and denied telling them things were taken care of. When confronted about why she didnt immediately admit she knew of the change situation, she then claimed she had "forgotten" about the call feom ******* the day before.
******* did everything correctly and the hotel staff did not, and then lied repeatedly. Joked with other guests that they had "49 open rooms" but wouldnt change my PAID FOR reservation to that night.
Canceled rest of weekend and drove 4 hours home in the middle of the night in frustration.
