I stayed a single night at the Sawadi as part of a motorcycle tour of the Atlas Mountains (with Desert Rats) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is spread out through a grove type area and the rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean with an ensuite and all the usual accessories including air con (although it wasn't required during this trip). The bed was comfortable and the room quiet at night. There is a pool, a small bar area, and dining facilities. The food was all table service and of a varied and good quality. All-in-all a really enjoyable stay and a recommended hotel.

I think because builders were working on the pool and surrounding area, we were given the room furthest away. The paths are narrow and uneven. Wifi didn't reach. Room quite small and basic. Dinner very mixed, Lovely appetiser but really didn't like the taste of the tagine, something seemed off. Breakfast lovely.

Stayed overnight and we were the only guests during low season. They made it a point to tell us ahead of time that their pool was under construction. Beautiful place set amidst palm and olive groves. Rustic but very comfortable. Enjoyed their hospitality including the vegetarian dinner and breakfast. Nice organic locally sourced produce and dairy items. Super friendly people.

Our stay at Sawadi was magical. The hotel and gardens are stunningly beautiful. The food is delicious with everything that possibly can be, being sourced from the garden. Breakfast included cereals, fruit, home made yoghurt, eggs, pancakes, Moroccan crepes, French toast, home made jams, fresh fruit juice, tea & coffee. Just incredible! The evening meal was equally wonderful with each day bringing a freshly made soup, salads, tagine and dessert. We particularly loved that each day was a surprise. It was so liberating. All diets were catered for. Our whole family, including two 16 year olds and an 11 year old ate like royalty and loved the food. And then there are all the fabulous people who really make Sawadi the special place it is. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The men and women working at Sawadi always appear with a smile and make you feel so welcome. It’s like a family. And everyone fully embraced our family too. Our boys had their 16th birthday while we were there. They were given a cake and everyone celebrated with us. A real moment to remember. Said and Kadar took time to help us organise trips, tell us stories and help us in any way they could. Ahmed took us into the laboratory and showed us how rose water is made. The Hamam and massage was also a real treat. We felt like we were floating afterwards. Our trip to Morocco really was magical and we feel so lucky to have found Sawadi - an oasis within an oasis.

We stayed at this lovely ecolodge for 2 nights on an Intrepid tour of Morocco. Besides the beautiful garden surroundings, the rooms themselves are very comfortable. The linens were very nice, and the soap, rose water and calendula oil in the bathrooms (all made on site) were a very nice addition. The best part of all were the friendly and welcoming staff, including Said (who also designs and makes jewellery), and the owner Catherine. We had 2 dinners here as well, and they were both delicious. The homemade verveine and chocolate ice cream dessert was absolutely amazing! Would love to return one day for a whole week!

Beautiful place to stay in the middle of their own 4ha farm. Having driven through miles of desert it was lovely to drop down into the 'bustan' through the palm trees and then through the maze of narrow streets to Sawadi, luckily well marked with arrows. Sawadi is French owned and the interior design has been done by someone very talented, from the woodwork on every door to the frieze behind the bar, the pictures and decoration in the dining area. It is all beautifully done. The food is good, much of it grown on the farm. The beds are comfy and the pool lovely. You are welcome to walk around the farm and chat up the donkeys or relax up on the roof. They distill their own rose perfume from roses grown on the farm - not much of a life for the roses as their petals are torn off as soon as the buds open! If it has rained recently it is worth driving a 4x4 as the wadis can be in spate. We didn't and had to return to Skoura and pick up a local transit van, packed with people and shopping from the market - fun and everone laughed all the way but possibly not to everyone's taste - no seat belts and door tied shut with string! The staff are particularly nice.

If you are ready to relax in a peaceful oasis after trekking all around Morocco, this is the place to be. Take daily walks through the palm groves or check out the nearby Kasbahs. Charming staff and first class service!

We were the only guests. Public areas included a restaurant with bar and fireplace. There were two adjacent rooms with chairs and seats to hang out. They had a big outdoor pool. My room had loads of tile (floor), terra cotta and dark green walls, high ceilings, bamboo ceilings, a bed (comfy and firm) straight ahead after entering and a bathroom complex to left. The room had stained glass hanging lights, was very artistically decorated, and had loads of character. Lots of wood carvings (windows closed with clasped wood shutters). There was a warm heater and fire place. At the back of the bedroom was a wooden door that did not go to ground. I thought it was closet but found a small room with two small beds! From that room was a door that led to outdoor stairs going up to a large private terrace. No tv, WiFi in any rooms and not even data/phone service. Very slow connection in dining room. The bathroom had a shower head at the edge (same room, no separation, toilet (extremely high seat) was behind a swinging door from the bathroom (or behind a regular door from the hall). Shower had hot water. Roughish green towels. Front door to room is glass/window from inside and mirror from outside with metal filigree. There was also a wood door beyond, if preferred. The grounds were gorgeous with loads of trees, flowers and vegetation.
