The rooms in the main building area are very good and spacious. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent with different things of goodies, Lovely setting in the valley with a view over the mountains,

A beautiful location with well positioned cottages and other accommodations. Well-furnished but requires some TLC as the cottages are old and not everything works (tap handles, lights etc). However, the exceptional hosting services by Glen makes the entire experience worthwhile. His service is impeccable, and nothing is an issue as he engages with absolute respect, takes care of everything and goes beyond his duties to make the stay wonderful. He is a gem to be treasured. This unfortunately doesn't carry throughout all staff and kitchen management, but I've addressed separately with the owner who is also a lovely lady, but was away at the time. Glen however is the next best thing to host, but when he is off, it feels like nobody is managing and hosting. I hope this gets resolved for future stays

From a warm reception to well appointed accommodation our stay was a wonderful experience. The staff were extremely friendly and we were treated to excellent breakfasts. Beluda is set in huge pristine gardens magnificently set against the backdrop of the sparse Karroo.. We will be back there soon

We stayed here for one night only thankfully! We arrived in the evening after a long day's driving only to be informed that the restaurant was closed & we would have to return to town to hit up the supermarket. Very little info given at check in,mainly regarding tours that could be taken the following morning. It seemed the girl doing check in wanted to head home for the evening. The self catering chalets themselves are rustic & romantic. Lovely bathroom & very comfortable. There is a fireplace in the cottage & an outdoor one also. Unfortunately our biggest concern was regarding safety. Kindling & matches were provided to light a fire. But when we checked the outdoor fire grate the chimney was completely overgrown with trees. A disaster waiting to happen. We were also provided with a faulty electric blanket. This was the most frightening thing. There was a loose connection to the blanket that sparked/burned the mattress & bedsheets & burned me. I dread to think what would have happened if this happened in the middle of the night,again a recipe for disaster. Needless to say we left first thing the next morning. It's a pity because it was a lovely setting.

Well manicured gardens and old-style farmhouse and cottages offer charming, spacious colonial style rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Very clean. They must have used a modern decorator that was inspired by her grandmother - felt authentic. We had the set 3 course menu at the farmhouse restaurant that was very good, with ostrich as the main dish. A buffet Breakfast is included in your stay which is good as well. There is a tiny pool onsite which I guess is fitting due to the extreme drought. If you are an early riser you can join a 5:30 drive to see the meerkats or after breakfast join the ostrich farm tour at 9:00. We were only there for the day so opted for the ostrich tour that took us to the hatchery and the farm to see the nesting ostriches. They also do a evening safari to see some wild animals. The staff is very attentive, polite and accommodating and the ostrich tour guide was great and informative. Ostrich tour was 250 rand pax 3 course dinner 250 rand pax Room 1400 rand Prices are very reasonable. Would have stayed another night had we had the time.

We had a fantastic stay at Berluda as a family. We stayed for one soulfull week of rest. The beauty and peacefulness of the surroundings was pure bliss. We stayed in a two bedroom family cottage with an amazing view of the Swartberge. Laura and her team went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and we were greeted every morning by an always smiling Yuline. Laura and her team really go the extra mile for each guest. Thanks Berluda for the memorable stay. Hope to be able to stay with you guys again soon.

Thanks so much to Cindy & Eric who were so helpful & accommodating. Thanks also to Anja for the informative ostrich farm tour. What started off as a planned a 3 night stay, turned into 5 nights. We have recommended Berluda to our friends and family and they know that they will be in very good hands & forget the city life once they enter your beautiful establishment. To the owners: pity we never got to meet you, but Brandon & I will be back for your honeymoon suite next time - just the two of us ;-) Thank you

A wonderful stay in a fantastic hotel on an ostrich farm. The General Manager was amazing - extremely friendly and professional. Our room was a good size, clean and very comfortable. We loved the ostriches - they are curious and lovely birds.
