This was a return visit for us to celebrate our anniversary. We love the setting, the rooms the peaceful ambience. It is a lovely touch to hand over the car keys and your car is parked and the cases are taken to your room. The rooms are great very spacious and relaxed English country house vibe. Champagne had been left in the room with a card which was so thoughtful. We enjoyed spa treatments during our stay and can highly recommend. We love the breakfast - fabulous choice, cooked to order and served in a wonderful setting. However, we were very disappointed with the evening meals, the beef was very tough and the vegetables were harder than al dente. the menu is quite limited and doesn't change much from one day to the next. We had fabulous food during our 3 week travels around South Africa including La Lude which is under the same ownership, unfortunately Rosenhof is not at the same standard.

What an absolute gem of a hotel. Absolutely beautiful rooms, wonderful staff and a lovely restaurant, delicious food. What a shame we were only there one night could have stayed a week! It was so quiet and relaxing with a pool and spa. Apparently plans to expand the spa. Definitely a great stay on the garden route

A beautiful and traditional country house set in a perfect location and surrounded by exquisite rose gardens. Traditional decor throughout the country house with a lovely koi pond and courtyard. The Executive Suite was amazing. Separate lounge area interlading into a lovely bedroom. The private pool and relaxing terrace made our stay extra special. Excellent service from Elinah and Nomvu. The cuisine was superb. Rosenhof is exceptional and a must to visit in Oudtshoorn.

A small and comfy location. You felt secure and taken care of. Only deficit was the food. Dining room nicely prepared, yet the food was not as good as hoped for.

Our family enjoyed 2 nights here. I recommend a dinner in their restaurant - wonderful food and service. Breakfasts were delicious and large variety. We enjoyed some wine in their lounge both evenings - huge variety to choose from! The rooms were so comfortable and everyone was so friendly and helpful. A wonderful stay!

We stayed at the Rosenhof country House last week for a couple of nights on our garden route holiday. Beautiful hotel with equally beautiful room, very large and spacious! The breakfasts were fantastic and the dinner menu superb! All staff were attentive and friendly!! The roses and flowers - both in the gardens and in the exquisite prints. The scents. The calm. The croissants. The jams. The linens. The orangerie. The coziness. The fluffy pillows. The decor everywhere, esp in the main building, with terra cotta tile, rough hewn wooden beams, books, and antiques. The bubbles on the veranda with mom while my kids played in the yard. The rooibos tea in the library with dad. The fresh cut flowers everywhere. The attention to detail. Rosenhof is thus far the high water mark of our tour in South Africa. And probably the sweetly prettiest place I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying… and I have traveled all over the world. Some aspects of the room/bathroom are a little tired. But the rest is so pretty that one can overlook the little tired. Why didn’t I book a spa visit??? Likewise why didn’t I take time for the gallery? Bc the prints in the orangerie (where breakfast is served) were vibrant and exceptional and I wanted to see more.

Very nice tour from garden route to route 62. Rosenhof a hotel with history, Nice but old designed room. The room was large.
