We thoroughly enjoyed staying at De Zeekoe. The rooms are located in a beautiful and peaceful garden. The rooms are spacious and very clean, you have more than what you need to be able to feel at home. The staff is very friendly. We joined the Meerkat excursion, which was amazing. You rise early, drive to the meeting point and are guided by experienced guides. It’s so beautiful to see the meerkats wake up and warm up in the sun before they go off to have their breakfast. In Oudtshoorn you can also visit the famous Cangoo caves.

Located on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn on a working farm.. very relaxed atmosphere.. We stayed at the beautiful, well-appointed stone cottages about 5 min drive from the main lodge. The 3 cottages share a pool. Perfect to explore the region and do the meerkat excursion. We enjoyed dinner - best ostrich streak had in a long time.

We stayed with our young family in a self catering cabin. It had everything we needed, including warm beds which were lovely. It’s quiet& peaceful, private and has spectacular views. Will highly recommend.

We took our 4 grandchildren to De Zeekoe for 2 nights and loved every minute. Theo and his team were amazing and the food is so well prepared and served by a great team of friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. This small guest hotel is situated looking out over the Outdshoorn farmland and mountains. Do not miss the Meerkat experience… this you will never forget!

Lovely. Just lovely. Everything is very thoughtfully designed. A beautiful room with all you could need including a little bottle of farm made brandy! Lovely bath including an outdoor shower (it was a little cold when we visited to use it). Loved the porch with the swing. I could jsut live there and listen to the birds! Great breakfast - do tell them if you are doing the meerkats as they will hold your breakfast for you. We also had dinner which was a nice sized menu. The food was tasty and fresh. I wish we could have stayed long. Maybe take the bikes that were free to borrow for a spin...

We really enjoyed our all too brief stay here to facilitate our Meerkat excursion. Check in was smooth and efficient and our rooms were lovely. The pool looked great with a stunning back drop although it wasn't hot enough to use when we were there. The restaurant has the same view and we had a really nice evening meal. You have to order by 5.00pm but don't see that as a hardship. I would say that breakfast could be improved and was more functional than an enjoyable experience but we all wished we were staying an extra night. The Meerkat experience was extremely enjoyable and something we will always remember. This is a great stop off along the Garden Route.

Superb accommodation and service, friendly, efficient staff and beautiful surrounds! Would recommend booking the Meerkat tour - for thoroughly informative guides and a special encounter with nature - and saying hello to lovely Moscow, the Dogo Argentino (Mastiff), through the fence.

Although we only stayed for one evening, we managed to see so much because the guest farm is ideally located. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and stylish. The food was superb and the variety impressive. The staff and management were very friendly and professional. I can definitely recommend De Zeekoe Guest Farm for a wonderful experience and excellent value for money.
