Lovely place with a great view. The rooms were very comfortable and food was some of the nicest we've had this trip! The staff were always extremely friendly and very helpful with very good and attentive service. I would highly recommend a stay here!

We had a wonderful stay, one of the best birthdays of my life, and the entire staff was so attentive and hospitable—they even sang for me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this unforgettable evening and the delightful stay in the comfortable rooms! A truly great family hotel.

This riad is very beautiful and clean. It has very nice common areas and also our room was big and with private bathroom. The food is delicious and the owner very friendly and kind. He speaks at least English, French and Arabic. I strongly suggest to come to visit this place and the beautiful Ait-ben-haddou

Of all the hotels I stayed in Morocco, this one was the best. It’s quite small and with a family feel. It was obvious that much thought had been given to the decor and the result was that it felt very Moroccan. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. The food had been prepared with great attention to detail and was very tasty. Definitely a nice environment in which to relax. I was there for one night and would have liked to have stayed longer. Definitely recommended, especially if you want a change from the usual bland, corporate offerings of many hotels.

Opened in 2015 with just two rooms. They now have 12 rooms and are building a swimming pool for next year. A colourful riad - the first time we have stayed in one. Family run accommodation. Owner and family live here as well. Nice views from window and upstairs balconies. This would get 5/5 from us based on attractiveness, food - dinner and breakfast was our favourite in all our time in Morocco. Service by friendly staff was also second to none from our stay. However, I have included below a number of irritants with Room 1 which I hope the owner will address for future visitors. (1) Poor shower facilities in room with hand held shower only and shower curtain that doesn’t stop water from flooding floor meaning 50% of towels are used to mop up water. (2) Very dark in both main room and bathroom - imagine dual aspect rooms with two windows would be better. (3) Insufficient electric plug points with one in bathroom too high and obscure to notice/reach. Air conditioning ok. WiFi absolutely fine. (4) No mirror in main room. (5) Toilet flush not reliable needed cistern lid to be removed to flush. (6) No safe. No fridge. Overall - attractive appearance, staff brilliant but not very practical in room facilities. Air conditioning ok. WiFi absolutely fine. Tweaks mentioned above should be made to benefit future visitors. Really nice owner. Staff - best in all hotels in Morocco. Dinner at hotel also excellent.

Riad Tamdakht is just amazing as are Mohamed and Aicha! I stayed in Tamkadahkt years ago, at another place where Mohamed and Aicha then worked. I absolutely love that they had a dream and made it come true in Riad Tamdakht. I spent four days there and could have easily stayed longer. The attention to detail and service is impeccable and the food was delicious...every meal. I felt very safe walking every morning throughout the village and along the roads. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated and had wonderful views overlooking the village. They also have plans to add more rooms and a pool. I had the opportunity to meet local artists, which was a highlight of my time there. The Valley of the Roses is not far and well worth a trip. France and others harvest these roses for some of the world's most exclusive perfumes and skin care products. Mohamed, Aicha, their beautiful daughters, and their staff are warm, friendly, and generous. I can't wait to return....Riad Tamdakht feels like home to me.
