There is no toilet or bathroom in the room, only a washbasin. For Japanese people, it is very common to have such old family-style hostels without toilet and bathroom facilities in the room, but it will be very unusual for foreign tourists. To take a shower and go to the toilet, you have to go to the shared toilet outside the room. It is very inconvenient and scary to leave the room alone to go to the toilet in the middle of the night.

・どーでも良いですが、トリップアドバイザーのサイトに苦言。このサイトの、誰と一緒に行きましたか ?で、ファミリーの旅行は、「家族（子供連れ）」と「夫婦」しかないのはなぜ？親と行くのですけど。親から見れば子供連れと言えなくもないが日本語としてはおかしい。バリエーションとしては兄弟姉妹も現実的かな。 ・観光の際に素泊まりで1泊しました ・お風呂は温泉ではありません ・2回へは階段のみでエレベータはありません ・琵琶湖直結です ・たまたまですが、琵琶湖でボートの大会があるとかで、学生が多かった
