Not having visited Otranto previously, we chose this hotel as our initial base for three to four days. Thankfully we only booked the first night here. We arrived about 12:30 and while we didn’t expect our room to be ready, we didn’t expect to be told check in was 17:00. As it’s heading into off-season on 25th September, we thought that they possibly would be able to prioritise getting a room ready for us. So we went for lunch arriving back about 3pm and still had to wait for our room. Our room was ready for us about 3:30pm. The air conditioning is centrally controlled and I asked for it to be set low at 18 or 19 degrees but that was not done. Additionally the air con rattled all night. Due to engineering work outside, there was no Wi-Fi at all. In this day and age, Wi-Fi is a basic need. This is probably the main reason we decided on the day we arrived to find somewhere else for the rest of our stay. The hotel is also quite a trek from the centre of town - we knew that booking it - and we possibly would have stayed had everything else been good. To cap things off, breakfast was dreadful! I appreciate that breakfast in Italy is different to what we are used to. If you like cake for breakfast then this is a winner - about 8 types to choose from! But if you like croissants, they were dreadful. Either over baked or left over from the previous day. They didn’t have butter or ketchup (if you fly a British flag outside the establishment, these two are a staple!!). Fruit salad came from a tin. The icing on the cake then was the €2 person city tax. We have paid only €1 each in other B&Bs.

Il soggiorno è stato davvero molto gradevole e ho trovato la struttura ben tenuta con il personale molto cordiale, dal direttore Vincenzo a tutto lo staff di sala. La cucina davvero buona, non piatti ricercati, ma che sanno comunque essere gustosi al palato. Consiglio!

This is what they sold us as a standard room. We do not recommend it to anyone

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. Large room always clean and fresh with a small balcony overlooking the sea. Excellent service and kindness, they even offered me drinks from the bar. The international breakfast is amazing: it offers everything, from the sweet with the typical pasticciotto attached, to the savory with scrambled eggs, bacon, cooked ham, cheeses, etc. Fresh fruit every morning including blackberries, coconut, blueberries, prickly pears, dried fruit.

We stayed the first week of July. Not worth more than 2 stars!! On Sunday (day of arrivals and departures) the administration was closed: they had to reimburse us for two days of beach but since the administration was closed, nothing! As soon as we arrived in the room, the TV was still all packed up. The air conditioning (managed by them) was broken! Not to mention the affiliated beach: although the rows ahead were empty, they put us in the twelfth row. We asked the owner of the lido to move us (really rude) and he replied that for what the hotel paid them, those were the lines (€27 per day on the beach)! The narrow pool. All in all, an absolutely negative experience. The only positive note is the covered parking (obviously for a fee).

Music themed hotel, very modern and clean. Large and comfortable room, with a small terrace. Supply of soaps and towels more than enough. The only flaw, the cursed underpowered hair dryer that is useless to women. Compulsory stay for two nights.
