Reception very swanky, then felt I’d been transported back several decades to Albania when I opened the bedroom door. Single bed pushed against the wall, only plug socket in the bathroom, had to charge my phone on the toilet lid. Bathroom nothing like any in the photos. On the upside plenty of hot water and WiFi worked.

This hotel is what I imagine Albania is like: surly staff, mattresses like planks, pillows like slabs of concrete, with the AC is shut off after midnight, leaving guests to broil in their rooms or open a screen-free window to street noise and bugs. The sheets had holes and nibbled edges. When I asked the "receptionist" for a better room, she told us to go to another hotel. Do not stay here!

We were delighted to return to the Albania this year with our adult sons. The hotel is very clean, very comfortable and in a very convenient location. The selection at breakfast is excellent and regularly replenished and the staff are all very helpful. We have already booked to return next year.

Still no A/C. After many years of people complaining, still they say it will be fixed in a " few days". After all this time they would offer fans in all rooms, rather than a single fanfor the entire property. It's loud with the windows open, no screens to keep out rhe bugs. The best feature, the Terrace was off limits due to some construction. Do not recommend. Enza at the front desk was the only positive. Stay somewhere else for the money.

We stayed in several hotels on a cycling trip through Italy and this was easily the worst. Beds are like concrete Pillows like sleeping on a paving slab No water in our room Dreadful security- you leave your key in a pigeon hole that is not behind reception- we went out for the evening (there is no bar or restaurant) and when we returned there were a number of people in reception and we just got out key - we could have been anybody . The worst aspect is how the hot the rooms are and at midnight they switched off the air conditioning and the heat was unberable so combined with the terrible beds its made for an unpleasant night . Breakfast room on the roof is nice and an average breakfast

We were travelling during a very hot period of late may. Reception claimed that it was technically impossible to have the AC on (too cold.. yeah right. we had 28 C all week.) Room was too hot to sleep and street too noizy to hace window open. Would have been a great place had they only spent the money having the AC on. Yes, it is an economical thing, not technical !

There is an extremely good receptionist who is apparently always on the 2pm to 9pm shift at this hotel and she went out of her way to be helpful and also gave us a very good recommendation for a restaurant. We were very happy with the size, comfort and cleanliness of our room, bathroom and balcony on the 3rd floor and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the views from the balcony of the dining room.

We were part of a group staying at this family driven hotel for one week. When first checking in, we got a room, that was very small , no place to store the suitcases and no place to have clothes. The room was overall not good at all. The day after we asked if possible to have another room and we got a room on third floor, much bigger and with a large balcony. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good, with a lot to choose between. Our group was served dinner every evening and the food was OK, but we preferred to have dinner out at restaurants in the old town.
