I stayed at the Horse and Farrier, on a bitterly cold night in March. The pub was really busy when I arrived and I was a bit disappointed to be told that they weren`t serving food, as I didn`t particularly want to venture back out again into the cold ! However, the radiators in my room had been turned up prior to my arrival. so the room was toasty warm, which was a nice touch. My room was spot on, comfortable, spotlessly clean, with a modern bathroom and a power shower. You couldn`t hear a single noise from the pub downstairs, in fact there was no noise at all, so I slept like a log. The lads behind the bar, who doubled up as the receptionists, were really friendly and gave me a list of local places to eat, in lieu of the food being off. ( I ate at a local pizza place ) I`d happily stay at the Horse and Farrier again and it`s well worth the money they charge.
