Best Business Hotels in Otaru

Indian staff is very rude and annoying. We didn't do anything but are threathen as people from mainland. ONLY KIDS UNDER 6 CAN STAY FOR FREE!!! We booked two rooms with 2 small double beds but need to pay on arrival for our 8 years old kids as she is counted as an adult. No matter adding beds or not you still need to pay... You should state clearly child is consider adult in your policy. I booked more than 10 hotels and you are the only problem hotel🤢

The staff at the reception speaks fluent English, which is good. Sth dramatic happened after I checked in. Somehow my suitcase cannot be unlocked,though I knew the key number. So I had to call reception for help, luckily they do have the tool to open the suitcase, but I was told to wait because someone else were using it and I was supposed to be called after the reception got the tool. Waited whole night long, with no phone call, and had to check out the next morning with my broken suitcase. So if you find your suitcase cannot be opened, go find reception immediately or u might not get the chance to use the tool, haha

I really enjoyed stay here. I got out of the Otaru JR station and the hotel is, across the road. Room was clean and functionable. I was on 9th floor and my window view was a big bonus. There is onsen but i missed it due to lack of time. Hotel is close to canal and shops and i have to mention the Triangle Market., where i had one of my best meal - grilled halibut. Check out my window view. This is a good base to explore the famous shops and eat good seafood.

Fantastic location overlooking the canals in Otaru. Best thing about the hotel was having a separate bathroom and a separate toilet… Especially useful when travelling with families! Gorgeous stained glass window and you can see the amazing sunset from the top floor as well  Reception was large and the front desk folk were very friendly and helpful. Overall would highly recommend this hotel  

Will stay here again if I visit there, Recommended call a taxi to the hotel, street is slippery and take a while for a walk but worth to stay, th view and location is perfect for the carnal

Unwind Hotel & Bar Otaru is a boutique hotel renovated from a historic building. It combines a classic atmosphere with modern comfort. The unique design and atmosphere will soothe your fatigue. The rooms have high ceilings and are equipped with amenities such as refrigerators and wine glasses. Organic amenities and cotton pajamas are a great touch. You can enjoy free wine at the bar from 17:00 to 18:30. The Niagara wine was sweet and delicious. The wines available change depending on the season, so we enjoyed Niagara, Otaru, and Chilean wines. The breakfast menu is also high quality, featuring local ingredients. Everything was delicious, but the croque monsieur and scones were especially recommended. You can have as many scones as you like. The coffee and tea are also high quality and delicious. The hotel staff are also very friendly. It was a very comfortable hotel, not too formal or too relaxed. The hotel is close to Otaru's main tourist attractions, making it a convenient location for sightseeing.

Very nice hotel, the lobby is big and nice, allow us to check in at 2 pm. There are some reception staff that can speak mandarin as well. We booked a room for 3 people with 3 single beds. The room is bigger than expected and the washroom is more spacious as compared to others I have stayed in before. Pros is near the Otaru Canal, from the hotel just walk straight all the way will reach Otaru canal. Opposite the hotel there is a Lawson, convenient to buy stuff. Cons is slightly far away from JR station and you will need to walk about 10 mins.

The hotel is very conveniently located, just across the canal, just a short walk across the street, and close to Otaru Pedestrian Street. There are private hot springs that can be rented for 2,500 yen each time, and reservations must be made in advance with the hotel. The private hot spring is indoors and fully equipped. This time I booked a Japanese-style room with a private bathtub. It is worth mentioning that the water in the bathtub is all hot spring water, so you can soak in the hot spring in the room. The hotel staff provided very good service, and also helped with luggage and taxis, etc. The service was very good. Next time I come, I will choose this hotel to stay.

I stayed here on a trip with my girlfriend whom I hadn't seen in a long time. We came by car from Sapporo, and it was close to Otaru city, so there was a parking lot and it was easy to access. My first impression was that it was luxurious for the price, and for a moment I thought I had come to the wrong hotel. The room we stayed in was on the top floor, the 8th floor, and it was clean and had a great view. For dinner, we had the 2,800 yen sashimi set meal. Everything was fresh and delicious. I was impressed by the garnish (like collagen) that I had never seen before. There were two types of hot springs, and the open-air bath was especially good, but There was only enough space for two people to sit, both inside and outside, so it was disappointing that there was no place to relax after the sauna. In the end, there were so many people that I couldn't sit down after the cold bath, so I just sat in the area to wash my body. I wish they had more chairs. My trip with my girlfriend became a good memory. Thank you.

The accommodation in Otaru was the most satisfying accommodation during my trip to Hokkaido! For the average hotel price per person, you can stay in a two-story Japanese B&B. The room has everything you need. It is very clean and tidy. The decoration style is Japanese-style. It can be seen that the owner has a good aesthetic and cares about the house. Special thanks to the proprietress and her family! A group of people arrived in Otaru on New Year's Eve. All the restaurants were closed. When we were about to go to the convenience store to deal with it, the landlady learned that we were hungry and cold all the way and we hadn't eaten yet, so she made us dumplings and hot pot. It was super delicious. The ingredients are very fresh and it’s an unforgettable New Year’s Eve memory🎆 By the way, it is very convenient to take the No. 11 bus from Otaru Station to where I live. It is a few steps to the seaside, which is very impressive. I walked two steps along the seaside to reach the Otaru Aquarium (tickets can only be purchased in cash) ). I highly recommend this place as a place to stay when visiting Otaru and Sapporo. Booking it for only one night is definitely one of the things I regret most about this trip😂
