Masseria Salinola

My wife and I booked a 4 days stay. By far the Masseria Salinola was the best experience of any of the other locations we stayed while traveling in Italy. The people were friendly and caring, the rooms and grounds were very unique and beautiful, and the food was outstanding.

Masseria Salinola provided a truly luxurious stay. I don't mean luxury of the glitz and glamour type; I mean the luxury of having all your needs met, of being in a place where you can truly relax, of pausing a while where the elegantly rustic decor greets you like an old friend. This is, nevertheless, a well-curated experience. You are greeted upon arrival by a friendly staff member, maybe Sonia, maybe Daniele and invited to sit for a welcome cool drink while you are informed of the daily routine: eat, swim, visit the orchard, sit by the fire, watch a movie, have a drink. Local events and activities are also described on the event schedule thoughtfully provided at breakfast. Breakfast? Seems an inadequate moniker for the cornucopia of choice from protein (eggs, meats) to pastries (an array) to pears (and other fruits) laid out every morning in the delightful country dining room. Lunch and dinner are also provided for those who just want to hunker down and forget about the outside world for a few days. Both our four-course evening meals were traditional and delicious, two of the best we had during our trip. As we strolled back to our room (#11, living room with fireplace, double shower) for the night, after a full day of touring the local sights (Alberobello, Lecce and the coast are within an hour's drive) or a relaxing one of reading by the pool, with the fires softly crackling and the lights glowing, we thoroughly appreciated our surroundings and the warm hospitality - and planned our next visit!

Gorgeous property with attention to details! Loved the outdoor fire pits at night! Food and wine was wonderfully paired and absolutely delicious. And the service from Daniela and his team was top notch! Highly recommend this property and definitely would stay again!

Beautiful setting,amazing suite with private pool. Fantastic staff who couldn’t be more helpful. Easy parking if you have a car. Lovely breakfast and dinner is available although we didn’t eat there. We arrived late and weren’t overly hungry, they bought us a wonderful platter with cheese,tomato,chutneys and bread which was perfect

Every inch of Masseria Salinola is thoughtfully designed, inspired by local nature. The family-run staff treats you like one of their own, with an accommodating "yes" attitude. The food is exceptional, surpassing even high-end restaurants. My daughters enjoyed building friendships, playing board games, and exploring the farm. Our dream trip was worth every penny. Highly recommend!

So much attention and care has gone into every aspect of this elegant, family-run boutique hotel including the decor, the quality of the food, the impeccable service and the warmth of the owners and their staff. The property has been in the family for generations and great pride has been taken in its upkeep. It's an enchanting place conveniently situated to enjoy visiting nearby towns, and the many fabulous beaches and coves in the vicinity. We absolutely LOVED this remarkable place and the wonderful family and staff running it.
