Newly re-opened and fully renovated hotel was clean and quiet. The breakfast selection was impressive and served even until noon at weekends. Sauna area with pool and big balconies were great. That all was on the top floor (11th) and thus, there was a noce view over Vaasa and in the evenings you can buy and enjoy drinks there as well. The gym was also good and spacious although there were few other people training at same time.

Vaasa Royal sets the new pole for Sokos Original hotels. Excellent service, good renovated rooms and accurate cleaness. All staff members are polite and welcome guests very well. Beats other sokos hotels like Bomba 6-0. Will come also in the future.

Very clean and friendly newly opened hotel on excellent location in Vaasa. Especially, breakfast was very good with plenty of variations. Clean and refreshing sauna and pool earn also our top ratings. Possibility to rent bikes at hotel reception was nice and cool. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is located downtown and has a private underground parking (14€ per 24hours). There are lots of restaurants, shops and walking streets around. The room was spacious, clean and very quiet. There was a minibar, kettle with free tea and coffee facilities, a large and comfortable bed, LCD TV and a small bathroom with shower. The bathroom looked a bit outdated. On the last floor there were free saunas and swimming pool that I didn’t have time to try. The breakfast was in the building on the opposite side of the street. To access it you can cross the road or take the small underground tunnel. The breakfast buffet was very good with a large choice of food, yogurts, fresh fruits, juices, fresh breads and a few pastries. If i have to stay again in Vaasa I will stay at this hotel. Stayed in the renovated Sokos Hotel Royal and was pleased with how the hotel has changed since my last visit. The spa/pool area on the top floor is especially wonderful. The pool isn't large, so if it’s crowded, there won't be too much space for actual swimming. The refurbished rooms are nice; however, I am not too keen on the yellowish colour scheme. Breakfast is good, although the dining area doesn't have much natural light and doesn't feel very cozy. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

This centrally located hotel near the railway station has two wings: the historic Central building and the newer tall building across the street. During 2023-24, there will be a complete renovation for both buildings. At the moment, it is going on in the higher building and only the Central building is in use. This building has been a hotel for 80 years. The old-time atmosphere can be best felt in the 2nd-floor restaurant. The hallways were quite shabby. We booked a Superior room. Our room was very spacious because it was a disabled room. The bathroom was also extra spacious but outdated. The room itself was a mix of modern and old furniture. The television was quite small considering the size of the room. Breakfast was pleasantly calm. The food selection was quite wide as usual at Sokos hotels.

Good business oriented hotel in Vaasa city center near market square. Old school conference areas. Nice 10th floor penthouse sauna with swimming pool. Good breakfast. Parking area under main building. Friendly and professional staff in hotel.

I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. My room was in the old part called central. The room had no air conditioning and there was something really wrong in the whole building. The corridors smelled bad and me and many of my co-travellers suffered of headache, red eyes and cough in the morning due to the bad air in the rooms. When we complained about the rooms in the morning the staff said that they are aware of the situation. The staff was very nice and helpfull but the hotel really sucks.
