Very nice place
Interesting place and very nice people. The only thing is that I arrived at 8 pm there was nobody, just a sign with a phone number and a key box. ********** said open till 10 pm.
There was not proper light to read the pincode so a smart phone was useable. But ot should be a bit more customer friendly in the november darkness. Peter

Fantastic gem in Osterrönfeld right on the Nord-Ostsee-Kanal. Great view of the canal. We booked for 2 nights. Our room was on the 1st floor with lovely comfortable rooms with large panoramic windows overlooking the Nord-Ostsee-Kanal. Many large ships passed - great to see them. Such a lovely peaceful stay. The associated Kanal-Meisterei restaurant served good breakfast, lunch, cake and coffee as well as a well-prepared dinner with a view directly over the Nord-Ostsee-Kanal. We would love to come again.

We spent a three day short break here. Our room had a direct view of the Kiel Canal. Service at breakfast and in the restaurant in the evening was very courteous. Rooms are clean and practical, yet nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable. We will be happy to come back again.

Went there today for breakfast. The breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately, the menu does not state which rolls are served. When asked if there were pumpkin seeds in it, this was confirmed. The waitress immediately offered to bring another roll. This was charged extra on the bill.
