Hotel Ambassadeur

First time in Ostend, I wanted to book a hotel near the beach and shopping areas. However, if you book here, expect no parking and to have to park quite far from the hotel, as the nearby parking lots are often crowded. When we arrived, the receptionist was rude. We had booked for 2pm, but when we arrived tired from the journey with our luggage, we were told that the room was not ready. We wanted to leave our luggage in the luggage room to enjoy the nice weather, but it is accessible to everyone, which made it impossible to leave our belongings safely. So we had to wait in front of the room without doing anything. Forty minutes later, we returned to the reception, and the receptionist finally told us that the room was ready. When we entered, we found the bed unmade, the sheets worn, hairs in the bed, wet and worn towels, sand on the floor, and many other unpleasant things. It was a real DISASTER!!, I have never seen anything like it in my life! Annoyed, we asked the receptionist for an explanation, who told us that the room would not be ready until 3:30 p.m. However, at 3:30 p.m., no cleaning lady had yet come! We wasted our entire afternoon because of this. I strongly advise against this hotel. If you are looking to stay in filth, then go there, but otherwise, move on. I wonder how this establishment was able to obtain three stars. It is money thrown out the window. In addition, the receptionist was uncooperative and unpleasant, even unfriendly. It would be wise to think about changing the staff at this level. The cleaning lady was the only pleasant and smiling person in this hotel, courageously alone to manage the seven floors. This was my first reservation on Booking, and I trusted the site after seeing the comments. I will not do it again and I will not book on this site again. Very disappointed, I should have looked for reviews on other sites. Apparently, many customers have had the same experience as me. I do not recommend this site if you want constructive opinions.

🚨 HÔTEL À FUIR – valise cassée, dévalisée ! 🚨 J’ai séjourné 2 jours / 1 nuit dans cet hôtel. À première vue, tout semblait correct, mais la suite a été catastrophique. Après le check-out, nous souhaitions profiter encore un peu de notre journée et avons demandé où déposer nos valises. On nous a simplement indiqué un étage, sans aucune information sur la sécurité ni procédure. Sur place, on découvre une petite porte entrouverte avec une valise déjà posée, donc on pense que c’est l’endroit prévu. Nous laissons donc nos bagages, pensant pouvoir profiter de notre journée sereinement. ❗️Mais en fin d’après-midi, ma valise avait disparu. Nous informons immédiatement la réception ainsi que la police. Un employé a bien tenté de nous aider à chercher, mais dans l’ensemble, on nous laisse nous débrouiller seuls. Heureusement, j’avais un AirTag dans ma valise, ce qui m’a permis de la localiser à peu près… mais personne ne semblait réellement disposé à agir. 👉 On me fait clairement comprendre que “ce n’est pas leur problème”, et qu’il n’y a rien à faire. Et là, je persévère seule pendant 3 HEURES pour fouiller les alentours, les étages, les couloirs… Finalement, je retrouve ma valise dans une cage d’escalier de secours : ouverte, retournée, cassée, et dévalisée. Plusieurs affaires avaient disparu. ⸻ ❌ Aucun système de sécurité ❌ Aucun espace sécurisé pour les bagages ❌ Aucun accompagnement sérieux du personnel ❌ Aucune excuse, aucun geste, aucune responsabilité assumée C’est plus que lamentable : c’est inacceptable, irrespectueux, non professionnel et dangereux. ⸻ Je ne recommande à personne de séjourner dans cet hôtel, surtout si vous transportez des affaires personnelles de valeur. Une expérience que je ne souhaite à aucun voyageur.

Is heel slecht hadden. Een kamer geboekt voor de nacht. Maar het personeel is onvriendelijk, de kamer dat er geboekt hadden was niet klaar en het personeel is onvriendelijk en onbekwaam. We moesten de dag erna terug komen om het geld terug te krijgen voor de kamer dat zelfs niet bestond of nog in renovatie was. De eigenaar was zelf heel vriendelijk en heeft mooi alles terug betaald. Maar ik raad dit hotel niet aan met de reden dat het personeel onvriendelijk is.

Ik verbleef onlangs in kamer 53 op de vijfde verdieping van Hotel Ambassadeur, en ik ben zeer tevreden over mijn ervaring. Alles was uitstekend – de kamer was schoon en comfortabel, de locatie is perfect in het hart van Oostende, en het personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is meer dan redelijk, en ik kan dit hotel van harte aanbevelen aan iedereen die van plan is om Oostende te bezoeken. Een topadresje waar je je meteen welkom voelt!
